BAITING WOLVES AT NIGHT | RED LAKE, ONTARIO

Thank you ‪@LostLakes‬ for reminding me to talk about Crown land usage (I was watching your recent video & you brought it up as well - Cheers brother!)
The Wolves are currently nocturnal & have yet to show up during the day. This is a sign to start baiting at night just like I did when I baited that random bay on the waterbody of Red Lake approximately 40KM away from our property here.
By baiting at night, it allows the Wolves to be pushed off of their comfortable feeding routine & force them to attend the bait earlier in the morning before sunrise. This allows me to get a shot off during legal shooting light when I do my overnighters in the new Wolf blind.
Still lots of patterning to do, but it's coming together - I just hope I can get a shot off prior to March 31st, as its approaching fast!

Sucks the cam moved but it happens . Hope the activity picks back up I’m sure it will they might be making there loop . Good things are coming for sure . Stay safe brother looking forward to the next one

It was my fault... Put it around two trees because the one was way too small, should've just did the one tree regardless but its all moved now so all good LOL

Sitting on a bait pile in the pitch black howling. Yup, that's ballsy but something I'd probably do too. I carry the same jumper pack for my sled. Damn four-strokes with no pull cord. But I had my ATV break down once in the middle of the night going into a bush camp. Luckily I had a small flashlight with me and found a wire had come apart for the key. Kinda freaky when you start hearing the bushes move of critters getting closer to find out what that sound was as I was trying to figure out what happened for it to just die instantly. But the camp I was going into knew something had to be wrong when I didn't arrive within a certain time frame. I met my buddy a few kilometers later as he was making his way back out to look for me on his quad. I told him a wire pulled apart but somehow I found it in the dark. I figured it was gonna be a long 8km walk in the dark to get to camp, plus have to cross a creek. I was happy I found the issue. One reason I always prepare for the worst now and hope for the best.

@@PatterningNature no, I bought it second hand and it's been a great bike. But it needs some TLC now so just ordered new tires for it and a new battery. Spring is coming quick and I wanna get out playing again. I have a bad bearing it sounds like too on the rear end so gonna bring it to a mechanic for that cause I'll end up breaking more if I try to fix it. LOL! I was tossing and turning going with a brand new Yamaha 450 but figured it's way cheaper to just fix mine. Got the email confirmation saying all 4 tires and the battery are shipped and heading my way.

Friggin beauteous!!!! I'm looking for a used ATV, but not really in any rush... I got time... Although without an ATV I will have to bait for Wolf & Bear (with barely any snow left again...) with my wheelbarrow, or just drag a sleigh behind me on the grass LOL Where there is a will, there is a way!@@darrendavidsonoutdoors

I have a weird sense of humor, but there's is something sooo funny about sitting on a bait pile, in the bright moonlight, and howling for wolves. 😅😅 It's something I would do, but I dare say, not too many people would. That is cool that you bought this piece of ground. How many acres do you have if I may ask?

So... As Thursday, the Wolves are showing up during the day... Once at 7:30AM & once at 1:30PM... Soooooo it looks like my nighttime baiting is paying off! 😜

You're 100% right - Should've just used one, regardless how small it was, could have just tied it right up. Its all moved now & I got some beauty Wolf footage now!

I love predator calling at night by myself. I always start thinking a grizzly is going to sneak up on me. Cats and wolves don't bother me at all, but grizzlies do

100% I can!! I will in my next video... I got a few videos scheduled up until March 12th... I've been pumping out videos non-stop as of late, but I can't post them the same day between editing & my regular job, but the KZfaq scheduling feature is a life-saver!!!! I'll make sure I remember to give you a shoutout & explain the booster pack!!

It's a theory. Franklin doesn't do it, but I figure it worked when I hunted the waterbody of Red Lake.. So why not now? Today I got daytime photos of the pack... Its working... and this is where the theory becomes fact... but still lots more time until we conclude that.
