I´m not happy with the Patreon solution for the uncutted videos . please comment which plattform YOU would prefer to use for such kind of videos. I don´t want to upload them here as "official" videos and spamming my followers. A second channel, so small my channel is, is maybe not the right solution but maybe I´m wrong. Thanks for your opinion Sandor - DM4DS

Your printer is not broken, it's partially clog. This is not a broken printer my friend, it just 3d printing. For PLA Plus you don't have to change anything except the temperature of the bed. For me works better at 55c. Also, some pla likes the glue sticks, other don't. You have to test that for yourself. Print PLA with open door and if you paid $1500+ for your printer, use sunlu, polymaker or other good brand for your filaments. Btw, you get lucky with the ASA because print hotter than pla.

When you print with the texture plate, you need the pic bottom profile not the cool plate. Bambu software like change it back to the cool plate.

I only print with PLA+ / Pro using the Inland brand (Microcenter) since I have a store close to me and the prices are great. I have x2 p1p's and haven't had any issues printing, using the textured PEI sheet and the new Wham Bam smooth bed. I print at 210-220 @ the nozzle and 65 on the bed. I'm NOT a fan of build tak / sticker beds so I refuse to use them personally. My X1C is being delivered today, so I'll have to see how things go later when I get home. With the X1C I do plan to use different types of filament at some point. I'll try to update with some tests later, but hopefully you figure it out by then! Good luck and keep up the good work.

I spoke to a friend today and he told me that he is printing on his Ender 3 PLA+ without problems . he never changed any setting, just prints. I did so many projects over the years and had to adjust always my settings for whatever reason, but this time, i don´t understand it . Why is the "old clogged" nozzle printing ABS without problems after the PLA+ failed and the PLA+ directly printed after, also fails with symptoms of a partial / full clogged nozzle. The video was too long already so i forgot to say that the new nozzle has exaclty the same problems but I stopped before I had to disassemble everything again. Was printing ABS half of the day today without problems. 2 smaller PETG parts, also no problems. Tryed a short PLA+ , which was printing fine on the sidewinder X1, same BS. I don´t understand it. Hope your X1 is printing fine like mine, expect PLA + :) Thank god I really don´t need PLA often and I ordered again "normal" PLA again and print the PLA+ on the sidewinder. Thanks for your message, stay healthy Sandor - DM4DS

@@DM4DS Also, turn the aux fan off for PLA, it’s not needed and can cause issues. Man that’s crazy getting clogs like that. Anytime Sandor, take it easy friend.

Hello, I have the P1P about one week and what I've found for PLA+/Silk PLA, that I have to have the correct density of the filament and due to simillar problems as you had, I had to set, for my PLA+/Silk filaments, the "Max volumetric speed" down to 16mm3/s. For generic PLA I am just using the templates for Bambu PLA and only changing the density to manufacture's values. I dont know if this will help you, but it worked for me. In regards to textured PEI sheet which came with the P1P, again... "Generic" PLA stick to it very well but PLA+/Silk.... somewhere it sticks, somwhere does not. So I took the PEI sheet, clean it with window cleaner and a lot of IPA (A LOT) and finally I am printing PLA+/Silk without any issues. I think that the "Max volumetric speed" for non Bambu filaments is the key if you want use standard Bambu profiles for printing. BTW do you also have a significant amount of lints/gunk on your pulleys from the belts? I was surprised after cleaning my P1P today.

Good morning from germany. thanks for your message. I already tryed to lower the volumetric speed down to 7.5 while I saw that number in a generic profile. The problems were the same. Changed also many different settings for the fans, temperatures + after all went back to the standard generic / bambulab PLA profiles including the silk/matte etc. No matter what, It has not worked. After all was clogged , I´m a little scared to try everything again. Normally i play such games but on the Bambu X1 it is more difficult for me to reach everything, while I´m sitting in a wheelchair. The "nice case" makes it harder for me to access everything. I ordered normal PLA and then I try again. :) About the pulleys - mine look like "new". I cleaned everything the last day and also relubed the screws (is that a word?) . Cleaned also the carbon rods etc while I´m printing a lot of ABS. expect PLA+ it looks good, only had some warping probems with ABS, but that´s no new problem with such filaments and now testing the engineering plate for ABS the first time. If I had not so much printers already, I would think about the P1P, too - I´m sure it is a great work horse. Have you tryed TPU with it? Happy printing Sandor - DM4DS

Well, no wonder that your prints fail with a (partiallly) clogged nozzle - a common issue with 3D printers. In most cases a nozzle can be unclogged with heat, the right tools and some patience. But sometimes a nozzle is just dead; bad luck. Either I missed it or you didn't tell if your PLA+ problems persist with the replacement nozzle. Maybe you wanna clarify this. What I can tell you for sure is that PLA+ is no material with reliable specs - each and every manufacturer can advertize a polylactic acid filament with any additives as "PLA+". It's basically just a marketing respectively promo term. Also, if you ask the community to help you find good settings, as a starting point you should give detailed information about the settings you already tried. From what you showed in your video, I guess you didn't use Bambu's Cool Plate - but maybe you did and just didn't show. That's the problem of lacking information. If you didn't use Bambu's Cool Plate that's what you should try first. The Cool Plate is known to be optimal for the automatic flow calibration when printing polylactic acid filament while PEI plates are known to be problematic for the flow calibration. And a bad flow rate can cause i.e. a clogged nozzle and failing prints.

Hey thanks for the message . i tryed everything . cool plate , pei sheet , original and chinese - everytime the same problem and I still have them after the new nozzle is printing ABS / PETG fine. Why is ABS printing with the old and new nozzle but not the PLA+ - if the nozzle is clogged, shouldn´t then the ABS also fail? I had a 200g rest PLA and did a print with this without problems with the new nozzle. tested the PLA+ after it and again problems but no clogged nozzle / extruder this time. Thank god not the same bs again. I´m not often need to print PLA bt for now I ordered again PLA and the PLA+ I print with the sidewinder x1 which does a great job with it. Don´t really asked for settings, more about your experience with PLA+ - is it a trap? Stay healthy Sandor - DM4DS
@drCox12
@drCox12 Жыл бұрын
@@DM4DS Haha yes, PLA+ can indeed be a trap due to the fact that it is has no standardized material properties. I guess that's the simple explanation for Bambu not offering a preset for "PLA+" as these filaments differ too much from each other. I tried some PLA+ branded filament a while ago on the X1C (donated leftover from a friend) and had no problems. I didn't use the AMS and chose the preset for Generic PLA Silk with reduced hotend temperature in order to avoid heat creep. We always need to keep in mind that some filaments just weren't developed for the speed of Bambu's X1 and P1P printers.

Is there a way for you and me to communicate directly without KZfaq? I'm on the Bambu Lab forum as Jrock If you are on there let's connect and I can go over what I've done mechanically and in my slicer profile for printing PLA, PLA+, CF, PETG, and TPU Slight tweaks in the default profiles that make all the difference for me

YT is not the right media for that I think . IF you have telegram, you find me @dm4ds . or you can send me an email dm4ds at gmx .de , maybe with your mobiel for WA contact....Twitter ham_dm4ds - the most links you find in the info under the video , there is even a home phone number on my homepage if you are in germany or wanna spend the money. The new nozzle has the same problems and is, like the old one too, printing ABS / PETG like a champ. What is wring with PLA+ and the X1? It is printing in my sidewinder X1 without problems or any adjustments. But I´m happy to hear from you, to find a solution. Stay healthy Sandor - DM4DS

@DM4DS - Sandor when I get home from work today I'll get a hold of you and we'll get you sorted as my settings work beautifully with regular PLA and PLA+ without even changing the print temps Just some minor slicer adjustments and you'll be printing fine In the meantime start with the filament selection as Bambu Lab basic PLA and in the slicer bump up your line width in the quality tab to .45 keeping the print temp at the default 220° Maybe try a simple cube with that adjustment I'll go over my speeds, acceleration and jerk controls once I'm home You'll get it brother, sometimes the most difficult situations have such a simple answer that we overlook things and they become complicated I try and keep things simple, it's called the KISS method which stands for Keep It Simple Stupid 😆 I got that from a business man named Robert Kiosaki at a seminar years ago That's about the only thing I got from that seminar was the KISS method but it was a lesson that I use in my life every day and it's an invaluable lesson Talk soon 👍

@@johnnyrocko7105 good morning from germany . big thanks. will have a look later . now I first need a coffee :) , also the X1 is printing ABS for ~4 more hours. After that I start testing with aomw cubes etc. . Yesterday I also got the firmware update and stated to look into a forked slicer. there is always something :) Thanks again for your afford. @DM4DS - Sandor I will be playing with the Soft Fever fork this weekend It looks like there are added parameters for fine tuning the slicer 👍 My biggest issue right now is ringing, but I'm 99% sure it is a mechanical issue like harmonic vibrations possibly due to the belts, I wonder if non cogged belts (smooth belts) for the xy and z axis would reduce this at the expense of the belts not staying cool It is a very minor issue on my end and not as noticeable as others reporting it Ringing is more noticeable on matte white, other colors especially glossy colors it's not so obvious
