@@slickchick5811 the difference in size between Bengal tigers and Siberian tigers is not the greatest, thanks to more extensive hunting and habitat loss, Siberian tigers have become smaller! and the bengal ones because they have spaces and a greater abundance of prey they are bigger

@@orpon0098 Turan tigers used to live in Kazakhstan until 1940s when the last one was shot. So, there is government plan to take Siberian tigers, which are most genetically close and reintroduce them in the Ili river valley, south of lake Balkhash.

@@srinureddy6395 the Siberian tiger would not gas out easily, in fact I would argue that because of its living conditions, it’s thicker coat and greater size allow for much tankier of a build. This tankiness, as well as anticipation and immense strength grants it the slight advantage over the bengal. Both are magnificent, but Siberian takes the cake. What an animal

*Royal Bengal Tiger* , I was lucky enough to see one in the Sundarban Forest 🌳. The *Tiger* was walking around in the banks of the river. Mangrove forest makes it really difficult for any animals to walk but Tiger 🐅.

@@WildRutc Just checked Wiki, It used to be called *Royal Bengal Tiger 🐅* . As a kid we always learned Royal Bengal Tiger. Now just Bengal Tiger. It is our national animal as well. Perhaps for that I quite often use Royal before Bengal. The has been changed possibly in the last 20 years. But I’m a 90’s kid. Thanks

You forgot to mention one key aspect of the comparison, that is agility.. The Bengal tiger is way more fast and agile than the Siberian ones, which gives it a significant advantage in a fight..

No. Tigers don’t use speed and agility in hunts or fights since they are adapted to be ambush predators. So in this case the bigger and strongest one will win.

@@anastariqtariq4487 Not courage. Lions are pack animals so if they get injured, they can rely on their group to hunt for them. Tigers are solitary and hunt alone. They must pick their opponent wisely or they risk death as they won't be able to hunt for food.

I've seen lions live and thought that they had to be the largest of the big cats. Then I laid eyes on a male tiger. The male tiger is larger, you can see the difference, despite the lion's mane. You can feel it's presence and know it's majesty. Lions are more popular, I guess, tigers are simply on another level.

The male Bengal tiger is not bigger than a male lion. FACT. As another matter of FACT, lions can could win battles with even a Siberian tiger because of the way they fight. Wild ciencas here, is in direct conflict regarding the two very different strategies of these big cats. Not to mention, but, lions are definitely more practiced at fighting than any of species of tigers.

The Siberian Tiger also has the advantage of thicker fur and the extra layer of fat, both of which make it more difficult for its opponent to inflict serious damage.

@@___GH0ST__ no way the average speed of bengal tigers are 50 to 65 (40 mph) and siberian tigers can run more then 80< kph (50 mph) but the fact is both tigers can't catch for too long bcuz of their size but for speed size and even siberian tiger fur will protect from bengal 's bite force siberian tigers are the king of cats

The Royal Bengal tiger hunts down the world's largest saline crocodile as well as python besides all sorts of other animals. Their habitat is mangrove forest. They live in the most harsh environment very hot tropical and humid conditions. They face severe cyclones. They are the only tiger species which can survive on sweet as well as salt water .Often they have swim through delta rivers full of snakes, crocodiles and river sharks. There is no dry land the Royal Bengal Tiger has to live in slushy deep mud. They have face all sorts of tropical insects and pests. Their day to day life is more challenging than a Siberian Tiger. They are unique in themselves and are the most aggressive tiger species. They are different even from other tigers living in the dry upper land of India and other countries called Bengal Tigers. It is a misnomer . A GI tag should be given to the Royal Bengal Tiger because the Sunderban delta tigers are the lagest in size than other dry land tigers and their behaviour is entirely different from them. They possess the most aggressive temperament which Jim Corbett tigers don't possess. It is high time that only Sunderban delta tigers should be called Royal Bengal Tiger. Other tigers may be called by other names just like Sumatran tiger.Thus Royal Bengal Tiger wins the race.

The weight and size differences are really not much considering the Siberian Tiger has much more Fat for surviving the bitter cold weather. That makes the Siberian tiger a little slower than their Bengal counterparts negating it's advantages. Bengal tigers are also more ferocious than Siberian tigers too. Therefore, it's Unclear who would win. Mostly depends on the individual tigers themselves.

Thats not how it works, they didnt adapt only in way that they are more fat and thats just it, they have still to hunt and in much more inhospitable environment so its not just fatter version of bengal but it have to have also bigger muscles to carry that weight, they also hunt larger preys, so its law of physics the larger you are the stronger you are but at the expense of speed

Interesting thing is while historically the Siberian Tigers were definitely larger, the recent wild Siberian Tigers are not in the same class as their ancestors perhaps because enough food to grow huge is not easily available anymore. In current times, the heaviest tigers are some of the Bengal Tigers. So they're both strongest, depending on when you are talking about.

The Chinese herb industry wants Tiger parts, and for gbe last 35 years, poachers haved killed the largest Males, which has even effected the gene pool. Sibrrian tigers of 650 + pounds in thecwold are no more. They don't exist. Those bigger 650 to 700 pound S. Tigers had 6 inch long incisors. Today, they are more like 4 inches, at most. This is also why today, Siberian Tigers NO longer go after male Usri Bears. They used to. Not now, size difference is too great. In the mid 1980s, a 650 pound Siberian Tiger killed and 885 pound Brown bear. THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN TODAY.

Both are kings of their own domain, they are practically the same one just lives in Siberia where it is cold and adapted evolved in to having thick coat, and other is abit more aquatic, it depends on the individuals heart in combat, sometimes smaller cats maybe victorious in fight might disable legs by biting. In the wild as narrator stated Bengals are bigger, but in captivity Siberian’s are larger. Both are the same.

In head on brown bear - tiger confrontations in Russia the tigers win in 65-70% of cases (brown bears in Russia on average are bigger than grizzly brown bears).

PhD zoologist here... - The current and quite _new_ classification (changed just a few years ago) has these as the SAME subspecies; Panthera tigris tigris. Formerly they were separate subspecies... Sib; Panthera tigris altaica Bengal; Panthera tigris tigris The only distinction is by range & population. - Moreover, as a result of overhunting/habitat lose/human influence, the average size of wild Sibs is now _lower_ than the largest Bengals (those of northern populations) - Therefore, northern Bengals are the largest wild tigers, not Sibs.

They say early on that the Siberian tiger only is bigger in captivity, whereas the Bengal tiger is bigger in the wild. They then conclude by saying that the Siberian tiger would win due to its superior size. This sounds doubtful to me, since the tigers in the wild surely are the more effective fighters. And among them the Bengal tiger is the biggest. Surely a wild Bengal tiger beats a Siberian tiger in captivity, despite giving up size. And if we take a wild Bengal tiger vs a wild Siberian tiger, then the Bengal tiger probably would have an advantage due to being bigger in the wild (even though they don't say by how much). So the answer should be the Bengal tiger.

Так же есть и разный уровень и опыт боëв. И так же даже в одном выводке у одной тигрица есть какой то более сильный и наглый и напористый тигрëнок а есть поспокойнее. У Бенгальцев и прочих так же. Тут многое зависит от личного характера тигрëнка и тигра и от его питания и роста. Так как чуть более крупный имеет чуть больше возможности к доминированию, хотя немало важен и опыт и агрессия и прочее. А вы просто говорите о каком то регионе из которого тигр. Регион не даëт какой то автоматической победы тому или иному тигру. Оба величественны.

Yes Siberian tiger but not an easy one because Bengal tiger can put up a great fight

You are just paying attention to the "heaviest ever" weight. It doesn't signify in any manner their average weights. It's always one specific case of an animal extremely obese in captivity. Look at their average body weight. It's even lower than that of Bengals. With bengal tigers you will consistently find more males that are in the 200-280 kg range.
