Rainbow Dash had her try-out before "Wonderbolt Academy", that why she got that acceptance letter in the beginning of the episode. The test we saw her take in "Testing, Testing 123" was to get into the reserves. Just in case anyone is rusty on that knowledge ;P

I like how this episode calls back to Testing, testing 123 in that Rainbow is more observant in seeing the little details. I like how they do this with her seeing Vapor Trail helping him.

That "easily impressed" pegasus, Angel Wings, was an OC that was given a role in the episode and was voiced by said OC's owner as part of her Make-a-Wish request.

But, you're missing one big problem! That's not what the Map is for. The Map is to set up a series of episode, each with a different kind of relatable friendship problem. Whether it is a feud between families, or just two ponies. They're trying to reach out to any real life conflict. Also, the Map is supposed to resemble how the power of friendship and harmony can make good effects anywhere, all around the world. The Main Six, otherwise known as the elements of harmony, has the job to spread the idea of harmony to even the littlest of conflicts. In other words, the Map basically shows how harmony can effect conflicts around the world. Not how a single conflict effects the world. Not that it can't, since there has been Map episodes that had the potential to change all of equestria, but that's not specifically the main point.

What if.. Dash's flying section was during Wonderbolt's Academy and the class room portion was during Testing Testing 1 2 3.

Well rainbow dash should get more episodes, each season she would get only like 2 or 3 episodes. So season 6 is known to be the season putting the spotlight on rainbow dash

I would readily admit, I'd never been a big fan of the Map episodes, aside from The Cutie Map which is just about as flawless as we've had with this series and I am dead serious. Griffonstone and Made in Manehattan were fine, Spice Up Your Life made me not like Rarity and any episode that does that is an automatic down for me, no one makes me question best pony! XD Viva Las Pegasus was an okay episode. Hooffields and McColts and this one both had the same feeling of just being tacked on to fill in a slot, and if that's where we've gotten with Twilight-centric episodes then something has definitely gone to the wayside.

I put this on your other video but just to put it again. Loved this episode, the message and the new characters were definitely interesting. As a side note the character Angel Wings was an OC made by a girl from Make A Wish Foundation; I love when Hasbro does stuff like that! I knew that something wasn't quite right with her look; I think that it was the color palette; it was a really cute design don't get me wrong, but I knew from looking at it that it wasn't something that Hasbro would create, and I was right. (Again it was a cute design; just not something that Hasbro would normally create). Even though I'm a huge Rainbow fan I actually laughed at the fact that she was the butt of the jokes, and I really liked the fact that she took her nickname in stride. I also liked Spitfire in this episode; seemed like we got some character development from her; not a whole lot, but some; which is always nice to see. Plus Twilight was adorable in this episode. The only thing that I didn't like was the nicknames that Rainbow gave to herself and Twilight; like seriously, why? Although to be fair they only said it like once while in Every Little Thing She Does they said chillax way too many times; so I can forgive it for that. Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.

Sky is the kind of guy who thinks he's cool but isn't, Paper Trail is just the unwilling slave to him. Pretty much cliche at this point. The boss and slave. Like Silverspoon and DT.
