If Lis Sladen hadn't died, apparently the last story of SJA Season 5 would have brought back the Trickster for a last hurrah too - "The Battle of Bannerman Road" would have revealed that he'd tampered with Sky (Sarah Jane's adopted daughter) to make her his tool to gain power, and he would have transformed 13 Bannerman Road into a nightmarish castle or something; Sky would have ultimately harnessed the Trickster's power to use against him, destroying him for good and replacing him as a god-tier being... Or so I've heard.

I know, right? Of course, I'm sad about Sladen's untimely death in general, but still... if she had to die of her illness, I wish it had at least done so AFTER that season completely filming if not sooner. Would have been a fantastic capper to hers (and Sarah Jane's) legacy. :-( Also, if you're not aware, one of the other two stories that were written for that season was later recycled by RTD in the spiritual successor to SJA, "Wizards vs. Aliens"; I'm guessing that the story in question would have progressed Clyde and Rani's relationship (likely to the point we saw in the last aired story) if the WvA story was anything to go by... now, I can't say I was invested in THAT show as a whole (it had its moments, but was half-baked at best), but I'm at least glad RTD was able to use that script in SOME notable capacity. ^.^ If you want them to produce some sort of Big Finnish audio dramas that would adapt those unfilmed SJA stories, raise of hands guys... Yes, I know Sladen's dead, but they DID cast sound-alikes for old Doctors whose actors died, including someone else for the 1st before David Bradley was cast in "Twice Upon a Time" (after which I believe Bradley is now the Big Finnish default for those stories); I'm also pretty sure they'll get someone to sub for John Hurt, so they can finish the War Doctor stories they were producing before Hurt's passing. So why NOT at least give closure to those story ideas for Sarah Jane and her crew (if not further)?

They should go back to: 'The Sarah Jane Adventures,' once they're done: 'Torchwood.'

I've been asking them to get back to SJA forever but, yeah... Primeval would be my the second best option. (I REALLY want them to watch Primeval but if they're ever getting back to SJA, it'd be in relation to Doctor Who and in some degree Torchwood. With Torchwood nearing its end and Doctor Who growing away from its RTD era style and spin-offs, a return to SJA is now or never)

They found the show okay, but they did not feel like it was good for a reaction series. They described it as an "after-school special". They said it is fairly enjoyable but not anything they would go out of their way to see (and as far as we know, none of them has since watched more on their own). They just aren't that interested in it and don't have much to talk about. In their discussions, they struggled to keep conversation going about the episodes. For reactions, they prefer more introspective or contemplative shows, or ones where they can make predictions each week. SJA didn't really have that. A lot of people say it gets better later on, but they don't like to have to wait for a show to get good. Plus, they weren't invested in any of the characters. The only reason they watched it at all was for the mega-crossover and to postpone Torchwood to line the next season up with Doctor Who...

Those episodes do not have any affect on Doctor Who. In the crossover (and Ten's regen), we see Sarah Jane's son (forgot his name) and Mr. Smith. The crew would have been slightly confused watching that without having seen the few SJA episodes they had. However, Sarah Jane and related characters never appear in Doctor Who nor Torchwood after this point, so there is no actual need for them to watch any other episodes. While I would like to see them react to Matt Smith with Sarah Jane Smith, there is no need for them to do so. It would also be confusing because they do not know who Jo is from the classic series, and they are not very interested in Classic Who beyond laughing at it. All in all, they don't _have_ to watch SJA, and they don't _want_ to watch it, so they _won't_ watch it...

It doesn't work forever. I doubt Rose can know understand any language she comes into contact with. Once they cut ties with the Doctor, it's gone. I'm more so wondering why Jack doesn't know Italian. He has had more than enough time to learn the language or at least learn a romance language. If you know any romance language, you can understand a small bit of any other. It doesn't seem like him to go into a place where he is going to be surrounded by another culture and language and not even try to pick up on them...

They do have the DVD (either that or they're watching on Amazon Prime). Rewatch the beginning of last week's reaction where they accidentally play the wrong episode and scramble to go to the right one. Finding this season of Torchwood online is nearly impossible. There aren't enough people who care about it. I spent *hours* trying to find it online and only played it at the library so I wouldn't give my computer a virus visiting those shady sites. I doubt these guys would risk viruses popping up or the video buffering in the middle of full-length. Usually, they have the DVDs for shows (sometimes, they are mailed to the crew before the show even wins the poll). I don't know what you mean by the sound being too high. That could just be the editing. When shows are edited for American television, they are usually sped up by about 10% (to make more room for commercials) and have the volume raised. I recently re-watched part of this season on Twitch (it was a Twitch Presents marathon in which they got the rights and footage to stream the show), and it sounded the exact same, so they have to be viewing an official version of the episode...

This is my favourite of the season!
