TIPS- if necessary you can turn the steering wheel to free up some space to pull the pedal assembly out. It allows the swivel joint to one side vs the other. Also, a long extension can be used to remove the top right but that isn’t easily accessed like the others. Happy Repairs everyone!!!

What he doesn't show you is that you have to pull the battery and pull the brake booster outside. Then inside you have to disconnect the steering rod. Then disconnect wiring harnesses from brake pedal bracket. Just some things he left out.

No you don't have to pull the booster, but if it's your first time you might have to pull more. It's a more advanced job for sure.

Remove kick panel, unplug connectors on pedal assembly, detach all connector push clips, remove metal box and bracket under column (gave me more room), disconnect steering shaft at the TOP section (can be slid down easily by hand), remove pedal assembly, remove blower motor Removing that metal square box and its bracket, and disconnecting that top section of the shaft, will make the job a lot easier

@@averyalexander2303 where do you think he's reaching behind in the video? 😂
@averyalexander230322 күн бұрын
@@conspiracorn1437 Thar's not really BEHIND the dash, more like on the side of the dash. On some cars, the entire dash has to come out to change the blower motor. Not that I'm saying this is a good design, just that it could be way worse.

Followed the directions and changed the blower motor on my 2015 versa note. I did need to buy a 13mm deep socket, but everything else was pretty standard. (A 10mm crescent, some needle nose pliers for the plastic clips, a small philips screwdriver etc) The only thing not covered in the video was 20 fucking minutes of wiggling and fanageling to get the whole break pedal housing out. There wasnt really a trick to it, just fussing until eventually it came clear of everything else.
@theweakestlink2278 Жыл бұрын
That's exactly what happened to me. Took a good 15 mins worth of wrestling with the brake assembly and that was after removing the gas pedal first. Blower was pretty easy to replace though. Now just gotta put it all back together.....

Just to answer this question for the next person that may have this question. You need a 13mm, a 10mm, and a phillips. The 10mm in a ratcheting wrench is handy but not necessary. The 13mm as a deep socket with a 3 inch and 6 to 8 inch extension should be enough to do all of it along with a small plastic hammer to get the steering knuckle off the splines.

Is this the same method you would take removing the heater core on a 2015 versa

No the whole dashed has to be removed the there is a metal bar across behind that the heater core is inside a big hvac box you have to open it up to get to it way more work involved

@Kangol_Automotive2 жыл бұрын
its not a very easy job you will have to remove the pedals and a few other things to get to the blower motor and have room to pull it out but its better that having to remove the whole dash board you will need some tools and i would say be mechanically inclined to do this if you are and you have to time go for it will take a few hours and you can save some money if you take to a shop the labor time for the job is 2 hours labor at whatever their rate is most shop will be at least $100/hr average or more dealer average $150/hr plus the part which they will mark up gas pedal is a electrical part so unplug and remove the brake pedal is hard hard but nut and pin to the booster holds it in place no adjustment just put back like you found it and it will be find so the choice if yours its catch 22 if you want save money got some tools or know somebody that does and have a full day to set aside to do go for will save you money in the process and moving forward you could do some things yourself or pay money to not have the worry of it but easily be $200-$400 maybe even more
