If you have Alternator Fault Showing on your dashboard it might not always be because of the alternator.
First you have to check voltage at battery terminals then check to alternator.
Causes for battery not charging could be: Alternator, Battery, Broken or Loose Cable or something unexpected as it turn out to be in this video.
