How to Install Baseboard Trim - Inside and Outside Corners

I show you how to cut and install MDF colonial baseboards. This Moulding is pretty popular where I live and I have installed a ton of it over the years. Since this trim is so thin, you can usually get away with inside mitres but copes work great too. I will show you how to do both. There are a few tips and tricks that can make the job go a bit smoother.

very nice tutorial man. I always cope and always wit a coping saw. Next time will try the jigsaw, I will probably butcher it ...lol

Thanks! Jig saw takes some practice but you can go pretty quick once you get the feel for it

Man those corners are looking like 1 fluid piece. Very well done. Angles are my downfall, I have to make several cuts.

Hey, it's a discontinued colour from Dulux (Canada) called "Roma Haze"

It is Luxury Vinyl Plank called Renaissance Vintage 9 Winter Wood. I'm having trouble finding it online, so it may be discontinued or renamed. There are lots of options in LVP so you should be able to find something similar if you can't get this floor.

Lol, I hate wearing one but they are handy. I usually just have like 3 tape measures, a few olfa knives and a box of pencils when I do trim because I keep losing them as I go along. I just went back to a smaller one, had a big framers belt but it was getting annoying.

I’ve got a framers belt, only wear it when I’m hanging vinyl siding or if I’m climbing and don’t want to have to go up and down too much
