Great craftsmanship! Best to size within brick coursing, see bottom aligned in coursing vs top not aligned with coursing. Additionally, bottom mortar joint better to have been staggered with brick coursing and horizontal mortar joint to have been aligned with brick coursing. Always size and coordinate to align with brick coursing.

Aside from being an awesome bricklayer, I must congratulate on your filming and editing skills. I don't know much about that art, but I suspect there's probably a million ways this video could have been boring as fuck but it isn't. The effort pays and your videos are very relaxing and enjoyable to watch.

Great video as always mate. Love that you cut all the halves around the circle instead of having big joints. Here in the US some bricklayers won’t take the time to cut them and they look like shit. If it’s a big enough circle you might be able to get away with it but still looks bad

Quality job mate 👏 👌 Iver got the norton clipper saw 400mm, good but the blades are getting hard to find. If you search under Altrad Belle you should find them - around £1200 new but you might find a good secondhand one. All the parts are available and I think they now have a 350mm blade which is much easier / cheaper to find. Sorry to go on a bit 😅 Have a great one Regards Tim

@@RodianBuilds That's great news. See if you can have a go at each of the trades, and what you can teach us. Interested to see which walls you are dry lining inside. Vancouver carpenter is my fav KZfaq chan for that. Also on plumbing if you are going plastic or trad copper and what kind of fittings you prefer. I'm not keen on plumbing behind fine plastered walls, but you would have to specifically design the house in a certain way to avoid that.

Great video! I love the end result! I wish you didn't skip the most interesting part, how you cut (shaped) the bricks to fit in the circle. I didn't catch what you called it in the video! How come your mortar (cement) has a cream color and not the usual grey? It looks nice in my opinion. What type of mortar and/or mix did you use to achieve this?

Amazing! I just started my apprenticeship and going to trade school soon, my coworkers showed my photos of their complete work doing a bullseye. I didn't think it'd be done this way with like a clock hand going around to make sure the cuts are right. Is this how they do it in trade school for the assessment?
