just gotta tell you Lynn, I've been watching your videos for few months because I simply like piercings, and last Saturday I was offered an apprenticeship because of all the knowledge I have from your videos (also being an extrovert and the fact that the studio is really small and located in a country where there's not that sterile and educated piercing culture helped) I watch your reddit profile for inspo and I really like your work, keep it up and hope there's more videos to come, it's relaxing for me to listen to you while I'm working.

My piercer was so so thorough with measurements and making sure I'd be happy with my bridge, she made sure i knew that a lot of the time most peoples faces are more expressive on one side! So my right side was moved very slightly to account for the fact i am very expressive on the right side!

l just got mine yesterday after wanting it since I was a teenager! Haha, I’m 32. I have many piercings this one just waited on my bucket list whenever expenses came up. I do NOT have a perfect bridge. It’s extremely crooked. But I like what my piercer and I came up with between me, him, and my friends getting piercings with me. Hopefully I had the right anatomy for the healing process, we shall see.

My face resembles that of a 13 year old, I wear glasses and have a bridge piercing for 20 years now. You can also wear your glasses a bit lower on your nose. Just talk about it with your piercer.

Do I have the anatomy for a bridge? No. But did I watch this entire video to vicariously live through your clients? Absolutely! Bridges are probably my favorite facial piercings after septums, so I'm super jealous of those who have the anatomy for them! I'm curious though- have you ever had a client develop the anatomy for one after starting HRT? I doubt that I'd fall into this category, but I'm curious to hear if it's possible.

also, i'm a trans woman who got my bridge pierced pretty much right when i started HRT. I don't think taking hrt effected the healing process or disrupted any facial changes i gained from hrt

I got mine yesterday July 14 2024… My piercer is the best. (CLASSIC13) in Birmingham Alabama. He checked the anatomy of my bridge and said it was good. He marked me perfect and free hand the 💩 out my bridge. I’m so happy and pleased with the results. It didn’t hurt at all. Don’t over think it and get that bridge pierced. 😉

I feel like piercings are gender neutral from a cultural stance. It depends more on the jewelry you choose for your piercings imo. I wish you the best with finding piercings and jewelry that feels the most affirming for you though.❤

@@asmrtpop2676 im getting my bridge pierced for my birthday tomorrow. I’ve found that getting loud and chaotic piercings that you don’t usually see, or that people are always like “I wanna get that” helps me overcome dysphoria because people pay more attention to it than to my gender

i work at a piercing studio and was advised by one piercer that i have a flatter bridge, and it might reject or not fully heal. i went ahead and got it pierced by a different piercer at my shop anyway just for the experience. this piercing did not heal on me, and in fact gave me a constant headache from the pressure of the jewelry pretty much pushing against my nasal bone. i tried to make it work for a couple months but eventually decided to pull it - a couple days later, the headache was pretty much gone and about 3 months post-removal im left with some scarring

i love my bridge piercing and got it about 22 years ago back in the day when they used a curved barbell thaf gave me a lot of problems but as soon as i switched out for a straight barbell, the only time i really even know it is there is when i need to take it out to get an mri. it just feels like a part of my body since I've now had it for a longer part of my life then I've gone without. i never even thought about it being a gender adorning piercing but the fact that ive aways had a preferance for larger balls and really love the way it accentuates my brow ridge makes a lot of sense. i don't think I've experienced any migration and rejection. it's the only piercing i ever even wear jewelry in anymore because i found that i had a lot of sensory issues wearing other jewlery including earrings necklaces and rings.

i live in France and got my bridge done less than 2 months ago (after watching that video for the culture hihihi) and had a curved barbell in and I wonder what really is the difference between straight and curved barbell ? Like what are the ups and downs for each of them ? i personally faced some issues with the curved shape because of how much it moves (the feeling was overwhelming) so I took it out, thinking about getting it again later with a straight barbell for the next time. + when doing my researches I noticed Americans piercers would prefer to place a straight barbell in while in France they mostly tell you that you HAVE to get a curved barbell (does anyone know about the origine of this big cultural difference ???)

I would say I see just as many issues with spikes as fancier pieces. You can start with them but I personally try to talk folks into beads for initial healing because of the risks of migration and rejection.
