Reviewing the Mr. Heater 70,000 BTU heater for my garage shop. Should keep me warm this winter! Seems to run fine on diesel but can burn kerosene or Jet A.

I got one of these before last fall and it works great. Quiet no odor and plenty of heat. Even though I paid full price I couldn't be happier. I watched your video looking for a video on cleaning this model. Maybe you will do that video later. Thanks for your video.

I had a kerosene Mr Heater in the shop, but even adjusting it, the fumes bothered me. Last winter switched to a 35,000 btu propane Mr Heater, and it works well. Not looking to make the shop warm, just comfortable enough to work in it without my fingers freezing off. Recently added an electric shop heater as well ... figure I will use the propane one to bring the temperature up, and the electric one to maintain it. Always nervous about a flame powered device in the garage. You got a steal on that one!

The programming may be different in newer units. Mine just came in a couple of weeks ago and it goes into a cooling cycle when I flip the power switch off. No fuel and the blower runs for a couple minutes before it shuts off. If yours doesn’t do this, just roll back the temp and let it cool before shutting it down.

I just bought one of these from Amazon. Unfortunately the kerosene odor produced makes it barely usable in my attached three car garage. The entire house smells of kerosene fuel when this unit is used.. Also, the thermostat doesn't seem to work. It doesn't turn off when the set temperature is reached and doesn't turn back on when the room gets cold again. A better design would have been to have a separate thermostat from the run control. It does really heat the space fast, but at the price of horrible kerosene fumes and odor.

it is a drain screw you had your finger on. pressure screw is to the right of the drain. Read the instructions lol you turn it off with the temperature dial not the switch.

could I use a force heater in my fully insulated 3 car garage about 630 sq ft with 8 ft ceilimgs for Christmas? I have a pool table in there and we will probably be playing pool during Christmas. I have some gaps around garage doors and also a 3 to 4 gap under door that goes to yard. So I don't know if this will be enough ventilation? I know force heaters are loud but we will have the music playing:) eventually I will get probably a Mr cool 18000 btu minisplit system to heat and cool garage. I also have a gym in there. I live in Clovis ca with a zone 9b I think

So..what's the difference between one of these and the stand up indoor kerosene heaters? Both, same run time, both same fuel, both convection both say needs a vented area....but don't run the forced air in a house...? Or is it just the company's cant get sued if your house burns down statement?

These are great heaters. I’ve had mine for 2 years and use it quite often. I do have an e1 error code now though. I think I need to clean a filter or something.

I bought one earlier on in the winter and I have only used a hand full of times. I am getting a E1 code, anyone gone through that with this heater. I cant imagine it has more than 20 hours on it.

Mr. Heater is good stuff. I have this: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UPR5TY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 since January 2013 and put about up to 100 gallons of propane through it each season.
