I know you love the Speed but surprised to hear it's right at the top. I love the thing with all my heart but everything I read from those who test new bikes suggests that the Triumph is getting left behind because of its lack of technology and lack of BHP. But that engine has so much character that I do think it can still outshine those new bikes with all their bells and whistles. Kinda shows that bike are all about how they make you feel. Think I may try and get a test on that R9T thing after this - it certainly looks great! Thanks for those thoughts dude - interesting to hear from someone who has ridden so much new stuff! Peace dude x

Crumbles so right! Bikes are about how they make you feel. 100% subjective experience. One mans meat is another's poison. Beauty be in the eye of the beholder!

You've gone and made me feel bad for leaving my S3 behind in London before moving out to Cali! The beauty of that bike is how well balanced and connected you feel when riding it (and the crazy gurgles with a 3 in 1 exhaust). Going to be looking at the 1290 as I need a new steed.

Interesting choice for number one spot. I rode the Speed Triple and it was enjoyable. But then I rode the S1000R and my number one spot was changed immediately.

archinuk417 I watched your SP3 vid:) The S1000R is a better bike; but, the Speed puts a bigger smile on my face.

I like the Honda CM125 Custom as well. Beautiful smooth bike. Unfortunately I could not find one in the UK. Did Honda sell CM125 Custom in the USA or is it a grey import?

Cal Moto yeah right...i was asking for YOUR list, because you didnt test rode the XR before this video so i wanted to know if it stole a spot from other bike in your top 5;; and in case you had for example a top 10 list where would it be the s1000r... im not understanding your anserws....or maybe you didnt understand my question...

João Ferreira As of now, I would have to put the XR in place of the RS. As for the S1000R, it's technically the best bike of the bunch...just not on my top 5.
