Henry of Skalitz, the son of blacksmith, the Bane of Bohemia, the Terror of Cumans, from the company of Radzig Kobyla....
When hunter becomes hunted.... Killing of all Cumans during the mission "Run!" in Kingdom come Deliverance.
Not a combat masterpiece but mostly just hit and run from horseback.
The enemies act just as you suspect in a "scripted" battle. Cumans most of the time just stand still and only attack when get close to them. One unlucky event caused me to fell from horse and i was quickly searching for more marigold potions. Luckily, i mowed down all cumans in time and proceeded to next mission. You get full hp-recovery when riding to Talmberg.

if you have the Halberd you essentially have a lance when you are on Horseback and can crush them all in pretty much one hit as does crazy damage and bursts through their blocks

Allthough you still need to level up quite a lot to use halberd properly. Radzigs sword doesnt have any limitations.

This is also the only part of the game with technically any mounted combat. Kind of a shame not to have more mounted fights. We could have even gotten training from either a veteran knight or, controversially, a cuman. With the end of training where they either leave you Alone and go home. Or you can recruit them and they will show up and fight alongside you.

Hahaha! it would be so hilarious to see from Tarresa's point of view that henry going back and forth killing cumens that would have been a very deep detail if you could see your actions from Tarresa's point of view

@@AndrexxxBL I gave up on the sword after a while and took to just hitting 'em with the horse, I think that's a tiny bit easier, grazing at full speed seems to work best. But it still needs a lot of tries of course, unless you're very lucky.

I think theres a bit delay in timing of hits when riding a horse. You have to strike a bit too early to score a hit. You get familiar with the rhythm though quite easily.

Use a longsword for farther reach then use stab rather than slash for better chance of hitting the opponent

Awesome, im trying to do this - one issue i think im having is that i could only get to sword level 2 and some change, as well ad just timingmy strikes with the sword on horseback. May or may not make a difference, what sword level were you at the save point?

I didnt overhaul levels too much. Made some herb-picking to get that vitality +2 bonus but nothing more extra. I stole one armor set from guard. Swordlevel was also 2. Game is a bit broken here, most cumans get killed by one or two sword-hits and they just stand still when you make rampage with horse.

I guess it wont affect anything in main story. Allthough you can get good equipment and full sets of cuman armor which gives nice jumpstart at the game.

@@lucaschaby2317 If you kill all the cumans that are attacking Theresa, Henry will tell the Lady of Talmberg that you killed the cumans attacking Theresa and only survived by the skin of your teeth.

i have killed everyone from horseback too and then took their equip...great kickstarter at the begining, but i have killed everyone even in Rovná. it will not have effect on the cutscene near talmberg if you want to know :D later is everything same too. i think. haven´t seen any difference.

I seen this and so I had to do it as well I'm new to the game this was maybe 2 hours of pain although I spent an hour earlier trying to knock people out in a specific order so I knew pain till I figured out using the stab worked 10x better than slash and double tapping sprint made the horse go crazy fast and 1 shot people with stab

Man...must be nice not getting shot at all. I'm not approaching this any differently but I'm shot up and bleeding out after the first minute. You aren't even riding evasively and not getting pegged with a single arrow. You download the Storm Trooper mod?

Archers are real pain in this fight and constantly zig-zagging doesnt actually help. I actually did better in hc version, i moved in a bigger area to keep archers and others a bit scattered. 4 archers stacked there is a high chance of one of them hitting... (I failed "couple" of tries too...) ;)

You can mostly avoid getting shot by always staying in full gallop while in shooting range. They're just too slow to hit you at full speed. I finished this sequence several times with 100 HP.

Is there any way to get better at sword hits on horseback? I'm trying this strat but I can't seem to hit them

Timing is everything and unfortunately game is extremely buggy and laggy at this point. For me, poking was more accurate than slashing. You have to strike a bit early on running cumans. And the three armored ones (assaulting Theresa) are good for practise since they just stand still mostly. Theres a rhythm for hitting, you will catch it quickly, im sure of that.

Its tricky at first, it took me like 25+ attempts to figure it out, but its true timing is sort of the key here. I naturally suck, so I needed to give myself like a whole day to figure it out lol

If you got the timing right, stabbing from gallop becomes so easy and OP that it turns into a game breaking exploit.

The Rider's Saber is a unique weapon that can only be found in the very beginning of the game. It's not that great compared to other weapons but it is the only way you can get that saber.

Well, first of all it wasnt "easy". It was painful all the time. You have to keep some speed with horse all the time when enemy is near, and full speed when archers are near. And that one cuman with spear, he must be dealt fast.

Can you force the game to acknowledge you killed all the Cumans in Skalitz? Probably not.

Most cumans respawn in later parts of game. And in Skalitz, there are many scripted cumans running in background, some of them on horseback, running with autopilot. I dont think game recognises cuman killing in any way that would affect main story.

If you kill enough of them, you get the Cuman Killer perk. That's the only acknowledgement from the game itself.

@@Ausf Thats true, there actually is a cuman killer -perk. Completely forgot about it. It requires "unspecified number of cumans killed" and it makes cumans run away more easily and Henrys hits are more effective. Cumans also dont get any stronger in late game, so eventually they are complete pushovers.

No because it wasn't supposed to be possible to begin with. Except mounted combat is too OP even at lvl1, and the AI fails too hard at fighting mounted Henry.

I did this as my first play through. Training like crazy(14 str, 5 sneak so you can steal from guards) so I can halberd every single Cuman I met. I got through to all of them. They loved it till death :)
