If you change your mind about the vinegar, it is so easy; just take your scraps/peels/cores and fill a quart jar. Add 3 tsp sugar and cover with water. Cover with 2 or 3 coffee filters secured with a rubber band and put it a warm, dark place for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, strain the juice and stick back in the dark hiding place for another 6-8 weeks. That's it! If it forms a "mother" you can use that to start subsequent batches. 🍎

Thank you, Linda! made this last week and it is yummy. My husband said that it tasted like ketchup with a kick, so today I made it again but at the end of the cooking time I used stick blender to puree it. It is the best ketchup ever and there is no high fructose corn syrup in it. Another win! What a wonderful way to use all of those tomatoes from the garden. Thank you again and thank you for your videos, I always learn something!

Linda, I just made this sunday morning. My habanero bushes were loaded and I have not been enthused with plain ol habenero jelly recipes, they just seemed like something was missing. When I found your apple habanero jelly recipe the BINGO light went off. I used Martinellis unfiltered apple juice since I did not have a apple harvest or time to process apples. It came out AHHMAZING. I cannot wait to grill some chicken wings and put this on top. Thanks for another great Keeper!

Just an FYI: I have been dealing with Le Creuset for the past month about my 7qrt Dutch Oven. Its only 5 years old and the enamel started coming up from the bottom. I went through the customer warranty process, got my RA number and shipped it off to the tune of $30. Just found out that they won't be replacing it, they do not re-enamel it and they also do not send your dutch oven back to you. What they do send you... a discount coupon for a new pot. Their warranty is horse poop! THEY TOSS OUT MY $360 pot and give me a coupon to buy another... NO THANK YOU! I LOVED THE POT... the company is something else, however. Their justification was that I had "misused" it in some way to have caused the enamel to come off. I would be willing to believe that with the exception that I have three others (one of which is 40 years old and was my mom's) and they are all in perfect condition.
