Cherry Cheesecake (With Greek Yogurt)

In this video, I make another German-style cheesecake, this time with sour cherries. German cheesecakes typically use Quark, but Greek Yogurt is a good substitute if you can't find it where you live.

Dough:
50 grams sugar
125 grams softened butter
250 grams flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
Filling:
3 eggs
150 grams sugar
1 package vanilla sugar or 1 splash vanilla extract
250 ml milk
Juice of 1/2 lemon
500 grams greek yogurt
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Cherry Filling:
1 glass sour pitted cherries
2 tablespoons bread crumbs

I am new to your channel and baking and really enjoy your content. All of your bakes look absolutely delicious! Not being an experienced baker, I wonder in future videos and recipes you could include if the ingredients(eggs, yogurt, milk, etc.) should be cold or room temperature and what size of pan you are using and how to prepare it? Thank you for sharing your baking talent and creativity.😊

Thank you so much for your comment. I can definitely add more information in my next video. 😊 My cake tin is 26 centimetres in diameter but this specific cake can be done in any size, you would just have to adjust the height of the crust by a couple millimetres. For the crust I use softened butter but everything else can be straight out of the fridge/pantry. I use a springform, so to line the bottom with parchment paper I just take the springform a part, lay the parchment onto the base, and then clip the side of my springform back in.
