Have you got cameras in my house? I made this last weekend, but using haggis instead of beef. I also always add a tablespoon of sugar to the meat sauce (chilli or regular lasagne/ragu) to really bring out the tomato. Leftover meat sauce on jacket potatoes tonight... Yum!

We tried this recipe a couple of weeks ago and it works exceptionally well. Accompanied by a full bodied Australian Shiraz makes this a momentous experience. Thanks Titli.

One could also cut corn tortillas into strips to pile on as layers instead of the lasagna noodles.
@TitlisBusyKitchen09 жыл бұрын
Sherry Bolinger I give that as a suggestion in the recipe notes on my website :-) You can use tortilla chips too!

i love lasagne and chili so much i am so going to have to try this out! how have i never thought of this before?! it is pure genius! trust Titli for the most amazing concoctions!

SamyilSings I can't take credit for the idea of mashing these two up. "Mexican Lasagne" has been around for years and you can even buy versions of it as ready-meals in some supermarkets.

Maybe, but you are still the one who brought this to my attention! and for that i thank you :)

Hi, Titli, long time viewer, first time poster. Because I like to go low-carb - and in keeping with the Mexican theme - my white sauce is cottage cheese and sour cream run through the blender to get rid of the curds.

Oh! This lasagna looks soooo good! Love the Mexican style! yum! Thanks for a great recipe! :-D

Hi, Titly😄😄 I just wanna let you know you are my favourite You Tuber. I admire you the most. You rock. And always maintain your humorous attitude. Best regards from all the way Bangladesh Btw why, didn't you say Assalamalaikum and khuda Hafez at the end?

I buy something like this frozen from the store. I'll use your recipe now! :) P.S. Can we look forward to you returning to the garden soon?

+Marc Fern I have no great opinion on GM food, other than to say I don't believe the Doomsday prophecies that the anti-GM lobby put about.

What a brilliantly easy cheese sauce! I've always heard you have to make the roux first or else your sauce will taste of raw flour, but that doesn't seem to be the case - now I'll have to make all my cheese sauces easily in one pot! :)
@kuyaleinad41957 жыл бұрын
Yeah never knew about this :P The Roux is just a huge pain to make since it sticks to the bottom sometimes and you also end up with lumps if you want to spead things up :/ This makes it hassle free :D

But I'm faving a lot in my private cooking playlist... you know... for "later"... Stay yourself (like you have a choice) and have a nice day, titli. -- Weirdo signing off :)

i think chilli is an american way to describe it....here in australia we would just called that mince
@ZeliardFTW9 жыл бұрын
I am Australian and mince is just mince meat. Chili is mince like that with chili (heat) in it. But chili is practically just mince meat, and chili powder usually. Kidney beans are often used too since they give a good flavour/texture which isn't overwhelming.

Brilliant compromise! My own beef (ARrrghhhhh!) with GM is the power of the massive corporations and the weasley contracts they have tied 3rd world farmers into.

What are your pronouns so I don't misgender you? I've heard that is the correct thing to do.
