In this video, I share how I make my chocolate hazelnut babka. Babkas don't just look intricate and gorgeous they can also be made with so many different fillings. I chose a dark chocolate hazelnut filling that isn't very sweet, but you can opt for Nutella or any kind of jam instead.

Dough:
250 ml warm cream or 250 ml warm milk with 100 grams softened butter
50 grams sugar
8 grams yeast
1 pinch salt
1 egg
500 grams flour
Filling:
100 grams dark chocolate
100 grams butter
25 grams cocoa powder
1 pinch salt
1 splash vanilla extract
50 grams chopped hazelnuts
(add powdered sugar to filling if you want it to be sweeter, my filling was quite bitter which I personally prefer)
Egg Wash:
1 egg yolk
1 splash cream
