His voice was always filled with emotion. It's even more evident with an acoustic performance like this one. You should definitely react to (and show your brothers) his solo performance of "Like a Stone". I'd also suggest a reaction to the last song he had released shortly after his passing: "The Promise" is a deeply powerful song.

I have never been more blown away by someone, he at one point had a drink in one hand a smoke in the other hand draping over the mic stand just belting out notes effortlessly. That Chris was in studio working, heard of Prince’s passing, and wanted to do a tribute, as a genuine fan. It’s beautiful, and inspiring to see the respect and love that a musician of a totally different genre can have for another artist. It's interesting that you guys talk about 'front porch singing' and Chris. And you are absolutely right, he does, well, DID, have that soulful voice just right for that kind of music. And yet, he could sing pretty much ANYTHING and crush it- he was just so gifted. He could sing the phonebook (young people probably won't know what a phonebook is! Lol). I do agree, I often wonder where music would be at if people like him and Layne Staley were still alive and sharing their voices.

He opens up a can of woopass with NOTHING COMPARES 2 U, and within the first 5 seconds the thug is reduced to a crying mess of gutter water that bawls and rolls around on the ground for hours before starting a new crimeless life.
