All I can say is WOW! I'm old so you'll have to excuse me for not having heard this before. I know Prince & Sinead O'Conner's but this is the first time I've heard Chris Cornell's version....and it's absolutely amazing! As if his voice wasn't brilliant enough, the cello added something else special. Thanks so much guys for introducing me to more great music to add to my list!

Chris Cornell began covering “Nothing Compares 2 U” back when he embarked on an acoustic solo tour in Sept. 2015. He cut a studio version the following year, and the track was later included on the posthumous 2020 album,. Prince passed away in April 2016. Chris passed away a little over a year later in May of 2017. This version was recorded in the Sirius Studios in 2015. So, yes he would have heard the studio version. 😀

Find a few live versions out there of Prince performing this, he was so creative he even has different styles of how he played it which are all fantastic but Chris certainly makes you feel it...never ceases to amaze me this was a live performance, if you just heard it without the video you might think its a studio production.

Since you like covers of songs, you really need to watch the video from Kasey Chambers live from the Civic Theater New Castle, Australia. She covers Eminem's Lose Yourself. It's so different, it almost makes you forget it's a rap song.

There's a video of musician Damien Rice who was in the middle of his set and you could hear the audience responding to the news of Sinead O'Connor's death. So many people at the show are trying to inform him that she died and this goes on for a few seconds until he realizes what has happened. His reaction to the news just gioes to show you just how revered that she was (and will always be) to tens of millions of her fans across the world.

Guys please please please react to the grunge band Hole! They are so underrated because people hate the lead singer but they are awesome! Songs like Violet or Doll parts are good starts. There’s also an awesome live version of a song called Pretty on the Inside.

@actionfigureShowcase Honestly, stop, you are embarrassing yourself. 😉 But then again you’re probably a 15 year old angsty teen who just discovered Kurt and Nirvana and who thinks he was murdeeeeeered. 🤦♀️ 1st album (Pretty on the Inside) was written before she ever met Kurt. 2nd album (Live Through This) has a lot of songs on it that were written before she met Kurt. Album 3 (Celebrity Skin) because yes, there was a third album, Kurt was dead. (RIP) and there was a 4th album called Nobody’s Daughter. And if you covered Hole songs (using Kurt’s voice? 🤣) it means you think the songs are good. 🙂 So, I stand by my first comment: the guys should give Hole a listen.

I gotta disagree with you Hollywood and say that I think Chris Cornell's version is the best. Also something interesting, Prince first recorded it in 1984 but didn't release it for about 10 years and a group called The Family was credited with the first official release of this song.
