When I was a kid me and my friends would walk by her house... she was a star because she was on WGBH TV 2 ... We used to see her if we were lucky... she was the first famous person I ever saw in person... ...My mother was a great cook by the way... Now years later I watch these episodes to hear her voice and enjoy her personality ... it's centering believe it or not.

In the 1950s, my mother made a lemon Bavarian cream in exactly the same way, sometimesgarnished with Manadrin oranges marinated in Cointreau, or crush lemon candy, or nothing at all. We kids called it "Eating Clouds." It was our absolute favorite!

That's how you know she's a real chef - she knows how to handle it when things don't go according to plan! Also, she makes me feel so much better about every time I made some mistake while cooking or baking. Love her!

How wonderful is this? I always watch Julia when im feeling a bit down she invariably will make me laugh out loud and smile, simply fabulous
