Comet goldfish grow huge+ they are in the wild and killing off many species rn so fancy goldfish are better regardless of your or anyone's opinion
@orangescalefishy1258 Жыл бұрын
Single tailed are better for ponds, since they grow to such an enormous size, fancy goldfish are better off in tanks of at least 75 gallons. Fancy goldfish are better for beginners though. Single tailed goldfish are hardier but more expensive to keep

Lack of room means none for me, but if I had the space, I'd go with comets.

American shubunkins (3 colors), Sarasa comets orandas with a wen, black moors. Have kept red cap orandas in a 75 which were showy .Best experience was breeding shubunkins in 100 gallon tubs outside. Really became pets. Hornwort as spawning media. Fed on duckweed from indoors and Tetra orange granules. Breeding by accident; intent was to raise snails for Congo spotted puffer. Serendipitous.

I always loved Shubunkins but you don't see them as much. Truth be told, I love all the fish ❤️🐠😄

They are so cool! Once I get a 150 in the future, I may repurpose my 75 for just a couple. I love that calico look to them

Fancies! I love comets and other single tailed goldfish but they are easier to keep (and in larger numbers) in a pond, as compared to fancies!

1.What nitrate level in PPM would you consider safe for fancy goldfish below 30ppm!? Or 20PPM 2.What nitrate level in PPM would be dangerous for fancy goldfish!? Thankyou in advance for replying to my questions you’re really helpful!!!!❤️❤️❤️
@PrimeTimeAquatics Жыл бұрын
Good question - The goal is always 20ppm or less regardless of the fish. Usually, anything approaching 40ppm or greater will have a negative impact on fish long term.

Is it wrong that I have 20 feeders in a 75gallon tank with two koi they are all babies?
