Cucumber patch maintenance - this week in the patch

Come and join me as i work on my send cucumber planting. I am harvesting and training the vines and also adding a mesh to the top of the trellis for the vines to sprawl across. I will also discuss the sprays i use to control common diseases and pests that impact my cucumbers.

Hi Anthony, that's a good idea with the trellis. It's been a bad year for powdery mildew. I lost my whole pumpkin crop to it and my first crop of cucumbers as well. Keep up the good work. Cheers

Thanks mate yeah just trellised my third and final planting of cucumbers today they are looking good so far but will need to monitor for mildew as the weather is really humid lately

Garden is looking great Ant, especially seeing the weather you have had in Sydney of late. We’re about to cop a heat wave in Perth next week so hoping my garden will fair well.

Hey mate my garden is west facing and I find on really hot days having the irrigation on every few hours keeps them hydrated and able to deal with the sun. Hope your plants pull through
