That self cleaning pass is actually, the same pass with less deflation of the tool,it is also running at top speed of this mill,I r chinist

How is the up-cutter removing the burrs possible? Is it because the softare plays some magic on the routing path?

they are not burs, they are are chips that are molten and get stuck to the workpiece

It’s not removing any burrs, it’s removing material caused by climb milling vs conventional milling..he’s actually wasting time with tool paths and depth cut.

Yep, that's the bit I normally use for acrylic. It's a great bit. It cuts very clean. High feeds and speeds are key (the ones listed in the description are similar to what I use).

@@enesivilisone2623sure, Amana 51411-k…. I’m not sure of you can use it on a router. I mean, probably, but you would have to be moving at just the right speed. A lot of people use routers (instead of spindles) in their CNC’s (I have used this in a dewalt router in my CNC, before I got a spindle)…. If you want to use it in a router, if you notice it’s melting the acrylic, just move faster. I hope that makes sense.

Is this extruded acrylic? Cast acrylic can handle higher temps, and doesn't have the problem of chips melting back to the material. The chips eject nicely. (You can tell the two appart by the protective layer you peel off. Cast is a brown paper layer. Extruded is a thin, often blue, plastic layer.)

I'm trying to find out how to do this. I always have issues with melting plastic binding to the bit and ruining the part. I've used multiple bits such as this one (single flute 3.175mm upcut and other types and sizes too) same result.. Cutting at 300mm/m feed, 100mm/m plunge and 0.5mm DOC. Any advice?

You are pretty close. You didn’t mention your spindle speed. Slow that down, not 10,000 rpm’s maybe 7,000. Sadly even in this post people say with authority to increase your feed and speed. Wrong! Feed as in motion across the work piece yes go faster, rpm’s reduce not speed up.

It just looks weird. I see it all the time and never understand why people want don't reduce any sort of deflection etc. It costs nothing to shove it up in there more.

Maybe. Or it could be that they're cutting extruded acrylic as apposed to cast acrylic.
