The build quality issues are inexcusable. But when you consider the amount of abuse your truck goes through it’s holding up pretty good. The rough roads, overweight hauls and non stop running would be hard on any truck. My guess on your electrical issues are a combination of salt, dirt and rough gravel roads effecting grounds. And take it in to get that electronically controlled fan clutch looked at. You’re making it worse running it hot.

@@CoyoteFTW a couple things that as far as QC are with all the superdutys... most of the Computer stuff........ trucks themselves are solid. but the computer seems to be culprit. random check engine lights on my new f250 platinum, codes that clear themselves and get taken out of limp mode after a day of sitting. randomly...... vs my 6.0 its either she aint happy or shes happy.

Ok my dad and me were ford tech from a ford, Lincoln , mercury dealer... my dad for 33 years me 12 to 13 years... my dad was a Maryland state inspector , and master ford tech , he was also 1 of 2 of the shop foremans... I started out as his helper then became a master tech myself which back then that was normal but I'll get to that in a sec... but any way we would do pdi almost atleast 1 to 5 a week depending on how they sold n bought vehicle's ...our dealership would never let a vehicle leave like that if there were any problems we had to report it or the tech didn't get paid, but alot of times with trucks the top ppl at the dealership gets a demo which they can drive from work n to work n sometimes even around in weekends throughout the week depending on what's going on or if someone was interested in that type of vehicle, now that being said things did happen usually it gets fixed but if not they'll sell the truck as a demo!!... but some dealerships won't tell u unless you ask... which I don't understand why a customer wouldn't say hey why does this truck have 500 1000 maybe more miles on it but they usually give u such a good deal the customer over looks it...Ok there's that now first off I've seen your videos your in extremely cold weather alot, snowing , n other stuff, and when they have that type of conditions on the road they put down salt... that stuff is not good for vehicles we all know that and you power wash ur truck because of that, that can be affecting alot of grounds n electrical because there's a lot of cheaper material on these newer trucks they want to make them lighter cause with trucks everything pretty much deals around weight, also 80% of trucks don't deal with the conditions y'all drive in!, when your just power washing these newer trucks your not really thinking about grounds and plastics covers n window seals but u do have to worry about that, also parts do just go bad at times it's that simple specially in that type of climate, also when u said warranty with ford is a hassle well maybe find a different dealer cause ford will pretty much replace anything under warranty because they 1 they want the customer happy n 2 they don't have to pay the tech as much to replace it, I'd do motor jobs with customer paying I'd get about dbl the labor time them if warranty paid for it sometimes almost triple the time depending on certain things... but Remember when I said I'll get back to being a helper n then a master tech...Ok for the longest time a tech could get helpers then around about 2010 they slowly stopped and you just came in as an oil change guy n worked ur way up and for some oil change guys that was a blessing but bad for tech's... they'll pay oil change tire guys a goatee rate of 10 to 15hrs long as u were clocked in ur getting paid, now tech's that can make 20 to 40 plus he depending on ur skill level they only get paid by the job, so dealerships started giving "pdi" to the oil n tire change guys cause they get paid regardless so they'll take brand new vehicles n need them up n just put yes in all the check boxes n say the hell with it!!... anyway sorry for this long comment, I love etching your channel me and my dad had our own business hauled cars for dealerships n other ppl as another form of making money I really enjoyed it... but honestly I think alot of y'alls problems are just the envoirment y'all are driving in also the condition... even tho u have to power wash but just be more careful n also make sure underneath is clean where's there's alot of grounds...all it takes is weather stripping to get a lil worn out then u have water n moisture getting into the mirrors on the floor , the window switches, everything can get ruined, one more thing those tires stef wearing like that most likely because of the weight your putting weight more on the back of the truck! All this is my opinion again sorry for long comment keep it up, n fix ur fan either relay or ground most likely!!

The combination of too many plastic parts , constant vibration from ice and dirt covered roads, and months of freezing temps and this is what you get . The front tire problem can be solved with tire rotation . It’s caused by the tread being pushed in 1 direction only . I used to be a Ford dealer tech for years . The dealers pay the techs on a piecework system and nobody wants to do that work for the low pay.

Have a friend with a newer F350 diesel with the king ranch trim package and engine has been replaced. Plus the def stuff. It has set in a dealership for 100 days before he could pick it up. The engine alone was $18,000. He pulls enclosed trailers with it. He does have a Chevy that has almost 600k on it and never has had it serviced.

Neighbor works for Chevy and blew his motor on the way home from the dealer. They were stocked up on replacement engines because they were aware of the issues. Had it for 7 months. Dealership bought it back and we he went back to dodge. All of the big 3 have their issues.

i have been using a ram 3500 for the last 300k and the only problem I've had is the turbo actuator, doesn't disable the truck but just disables the VGT system so boost is like a normal truck and not snappy, plus 1 note the RAMs are better on fuel then fords.

Not lately, the superduties have been putting out better numbers than ram towing and unladen, I haven't seen a single video say otherwise yet. Oh except for regens, Cummins has a colder and more fuel efficient Regen. But that's on Cummins department and not ram

@@StevenLaFrance well your not comparing engines, your comparing trucks. The videos I've seen take dodge and Ford with the same rear end ratings and similarly equipped trucks, and Ford comes out on top loaded and unloaded. Now if your saying hey I bought a fiat truck with 3:43 gears and your getting better mpg than the ford with 4:10 gears then yeah no duh bud.

That tire problem would inflame me. omg that would make me insane. That's not even my truck and I can feel my blood pressure going up. I don't have DRW, so I don't know the rules. are those steers tires like on a big rig? if not, frequent rotation would help even that out

It's hard to rotate rears to the front, so instead people only swap side to side driver to passenger, which works

@@nativeoutdoors1780It’s only hard because they have a high trim package that has aluminum wheels on the outside and steel wheels on the inside I have a dually but it’s a work truck model with all 6 steel wheels so I don’t have a problem rotating them in a circular pattern like your supposed to on a dually.

@@Back_door_bandit_98 yeah well technically all ford duallys if given aluminum wheels are like that, my 2008 is the same way, steelies on the inside, aluminum's outer. Which sucks to have them rotated more correctly. But personally I haven't had an issue with wheels cupping or getting waves. Our work duallys get the waves but we don't ever rotate the tires, like ever, we just run it until they need replacing from low tread, the wave looks weird but I haven't felt any feedback into the vehicle from ot

Definitely sounds like the aluminum body issue for the wind shield probably flex. Thats why I will keep my 2017 chevy 3500 LTZ DRW all steel no aluminum. I switched my 2016 3500 LTZ DRW with the duramax. Went to my 2017 3500 with the 6.0 vortec, will never go back to a new diesel. I own a construction I n company I am a licensed GC in florda and I tow everyday between 14000 pounds up to 25000 pounds and love it 35,000 miles care free. Honestly if I do another truck I am on the fence of what I want. But I will never get rid of my 2017 because it is all steel body.

I’m sorry but this is petty. Complaining about trim and window rails, we’ve all watched your videos and seen you hit potholes and drive on these run down gravel roads…. Constantly not once or twice but a weekly basis (from the looks of it) things break all the time on every vehicle including your basic civics it’s part of wear and tear. No for your wiring, when’s the last time you’ve done a battery service (cleaned grounds, checked connections, etc) on semis lots of places recommended it every service. Or every 100k. Your exposed to northern road conditions including heavily salted roads, as well as gravel and other debris. If you do your regular maintenance everything works fine. As for the def that’s a issue with everyone. It’s the same manufacture making emissions products for all brands (Cummins, Ford, Isuzu, Hino (Toyota), Volvo, Detroit, Etc) it’s all built the same just designed differently to fit the different applications (Volvo having a SCR And DPF in one compared to a Hino having a DPR assembly) even if you bought a Cummins or a Isuzu (Chevy) you’ll still have the same issues in time. The Ford platform is quite good. The windshield thing definitely contact Ford and complain, enough complaints they’ll warranty and try to make a solution.
