this is hard for me to watch, let me explain. David’s vlogs and videos made my life so much better in high school. I was really depressed and felt trapped in my life and my escape was david’s vlogs. i will always love the vlogs and david. i know david has done some bad bad stuff, which is unacceptable. He has also done some really good things too. I think he just got too ahead of himself and he needed to slow down. It’s hard for me to watch this because i do love David and i wish he didn’t do the things he did and it makes me sad and obviously i feel for Jeff and everyone else he harmed and they deserve justice. I wish events had turned out differently., i guess, just like everyone else

I did notice that Carly and Erin stopped associating with most of the vlog squad almost about a year ago. They would occasionally speak about Jac(Scott’s GF) for a while, however I have since noticed they have stopped mentioning most of them with the exception of (Joe and Matt). As you mentioned unsure if it’s just that they’ve grown apart or a career move, but it seems like a good choice either way.

if david really cared he would have cared for jeff in ways money cant buy(such as paying for therepy, eye appointments, generally being there for him), giving him money for loss of earnings (which he didnt do) shows me that david does not recognise what he has done.. beside all of this he could have actually been there for him, paying for someones doctor is not the same as emotionally supporting someone through a really traumatic time (which he caused) i used to love david but the vail is wearing thin as is my patience. I used to think david was this fun loving down to earth 'normal' guy but now i understand he has (possibly turned into thanks to his catapult into the lime light) a self absorbed, self-righteous narcissistic. he avoids addressing the REAL issues and bats them off on his podcast, minimalizeing the real issue, undermining other peoples feelings (especially jeffs) and i get it, hey you feel awkward about it all david, hey i would too if i caused my friend permanent disability, but his 'apology' videos have all been half assed, inept, forced and fake. im yet to see him show any real remorse, accountability, or actually see him trying to re-write his wrongs. As someone who is only a year older than him, i look back on my life, the mistakes ive made, and apologise for them when i can and grow from them, learn from my mistakes, treat people with dignity and respect regardless of my personal feelings towards that person and make up for those mistakes i made and try make peace with those ive hurt. ... i dont think david has the mental capacity to do. I understand he is probably surrounded by 'yes' people, but if he is listening to those people he is truly lost. I used to love david but i truly feel he literally couldnt care less. even if jeff sues him and wins, what dent would that make in davids every growing and relentless pile of money he gets for portraying a fake character online . So gross. PTSD is a horrible thing to experience and david will never EVER truly understand what jeff has been through, how it has affected not only his physical wellbeing but also his long term mental health. Im yet to see david literally show even the littlest sign of remorse. I truly feel like he feels hes done nothing wrong, but when you look at the bigger picture someone else life has been permanently traumatised. enjoy your money david i hope it helps you sleep at night.

I stopped watching any of them because I felt I was becoming too parasocial and I’m glad I did. I’ll always love the old vlogs but once I stopped keeping up with them and then hearing about the Insider article, I think it’s best that the vlogs have come to an end.

I’m sad… we all kinda grew up with David (for better or worse) so seeing this chapter close is bittersweet. For as many mistakes as he’s made, we gotta remember the good he has done. He has helped people economically, given away cars, he’s presented at colleges, he’s education hundreds of thousands of people on DACA and immigration issues in the USA, and got over a MILLION people to register to vote in the US during the 2016 election. Zane, Heath, and Scotty are how I found the Vlog Squad so it’s nice to still see them succeed. Especially with how much I’ve loved the Unfiltered Podcast. But the early Vlog Squad days are a memory in time that I still hold fondly.

I don’t think Jeff is winning the case because although David incompetence did get him hurt. They bargained outside of the court first and if David held his end of the bargain and paid Jeff Medical bills it’ll be hard for the judges to see why it’s necessary to continue the case.

I think its good David is doing his own thing and living life and travelling. People on youtube became too toxic so he moved on from it and is posting more on tiktok and instagram but he also mentioned that he doesn't feel like doing vlogs anymore multiple times. So yeah I think its good he's moving on from it.

The vlogs are done primarily because of the case. Since the pandemic David was in sky rising mode. He was making gigs left and right but he never forgot the vlogs. He only is over it because he got a podcast and a tv show and mostly because the others members are thriving on their own. He always wanted to venture in a Netflix show but never could then he was seeing as a gen z host and the podcast was going to that end except for the scandals. Honestly I found DIxie and Zane and Heath podcast better than David whose personality doesn’t shine and we realize that by himself he isn’t all that.

I could never, not even for money, hang out with someone so annoying and extra like that.

What he means is he's so rich that he's done vlogging. Good for David! Now it's a HOBBY NOT A JOB! Jason Actually announced on Joe's and Ilya's podcast, Lightweights that he is going to launch a website with a membership fee where people can learn from him about acting/comedy. Apart from this he also talked about how he has to fly to newyork with his assistant Jess to record podcasts so maybe a new podcast from him is otw.

i feel like hes just putting up a strong front. he didnt start drinking or anything like that until after the accident so maybe its getting to him.
