He shouldn’t have been affiliated with a convicted felon in the first place, but she did him shady af. Gypsy has NO feet in reality. She constantly is living in a state of fantasy. Probably when getting to know both Ryan and Ken in prison, she had this fantasy going of "lovers separated by the bars" and created these big stories about their love story. I don't know too much about her and Ken's beginning back in the day, but with Ryan I would bet my bottom dollar that she was living out some kind of southern gentleman fantasy, and that she's a southern belle girl, which is why her accent on the show is SO THICK when she is with him, but randomly just completely falls off. When she gets face to face with her fantasies and sees the reality, though? She gets the ick and dips. She did it with Nic and their little fantasy they made of Bonnie and Clyde, she's doing it with Ryan, and she will do it with Ken whenever he gives her the ick. Another example is how incredibly sexual she is with her partners until it's actually time to get physical. She had Ryan buy her ALL of that lingerie in prison. I bet they talked about how hot it would be when she got out and they could consummate their marriage, then acted like she was just this delicate little flower that couldn't be touched or bothered when she started to understand the reality of who she would be sleeping with. ALSO a nod to that in her obsession with calling Ken a 'Chad' - it's about fulfilling her fantasy, not having a real relationship. Same reason she got back with Ken - she has this fantasy of a love lost, and a hotter man, and she's got him back... for now. I feel for Ryan. I have my quarrels with his personality - I think he has a very large lack of self-confidence (but I would too if my wife were acting like that), had NO clue what he was getting into marrying her, and is a bit immature in how he communicates when he's upset, but again.... idk how I would react if my wife's ex fiance was sniffing around and having relationships with the family that I wasn't.
