The very real friendship between Alison and David is something you can honestly feel onscreen and it is one of the (many) reasons that Home Movies is so special. You feel like you’re watching a group of friends (in front and behind the camera) cook and fuck around, like your first dinner party in your 20s.

I have missed your videos so much and need these weekly! You have inspired me to cook dinner every night due to Nothing Fancy. My mom makes “ham-atrici” after Easter every year which is her version of amatriciana. She dices leftover ham really small and sautés with a ton of onions and tomatoes. It’s so good.
