❤Thank you for the tutorial. I saw the other possibilities for a frame stand. This one seems OK, as long as your frame is not too wide. Really liked your opinion on it, and now know what to look for. 😊

I like that stand. It would be great to take to my retreat in October. I could have diamond painting on the table and stitch project on the stand next me. I’m going to probably get this one. Thanks for showing it to us.

I was going to get this stand, but reading reviews that the frame/hoop holder cracks over time, I went with the Lowery work Stand. The lowery allows you to put the frame to the side of your chair/sofa/couch and work. It’s all metal, so no plastic to break. They also have extender arms for those of us that have large/wide arms. It’s the best cross stitch/embroidery/tapestry stand I have ever had in the last 30 years and I’ve had a few lol

I really think you would be happier with the lowery floor stand. I don't know if your corner clamps would fit it thought. You could set it beside your chair, and swing the arm back and forth. It might need a weight on the bottom, but it's good. If you get the extra long L bar, it will stretch out further over your lap. Also, both the L bar reach and the height of the stand are adjustable.
@melissacech6763

And since you ordered the new chair, you could actually stick the base under one leg to avoid needing a weight.

I have been working with this stand for a while now and I love it using a qsnap while sitting on the couch or In a regular chair. I also like to stitch while sitting in my recliner bu found this stand doesn’t fit under the lift mechanism. So I purchased the lowery floor stand which has a very strong but low profile footing. I love it. I now can slide it right under my chair and recline and stitch away! Since I have never used a scroll frame could you please recommend one that holds the fabric taut? Love your floss tube. Thank you

I ordered that stand a couple of years ago and really didn't care for it. No matter what I tried, even with a small piece, the clamp part kept falling down. It may have been broken since it didn't appear to be new even though it was ordered as new. I ended up ordering a Lowery floor stand instead. I hope this one works well for you. The Velke Potoky is on my wishlist though.

That's the problem with these stands, they all have the same problems. The feet do not fit under my chair or couch, the manufacturers do not account for the weight of your piece and the design is not modular at all. You shouldn't have to finagle that much. I hear you. You'll have to buy a completely different kind of chair. My couch was over 1K, nope not buying a new couch. It's frustrating that I cant find a stand that I can use. They all have stupid designs. Thank you for the demonstration. You saved me some money.

Take a look at Gus Custom Creations in you tube. His stand is the best. I can flip my stitching anytime. No angling from screws. I can sit back in my recliner with my fit up. It is fully adjustable you could sit on the floor and stitch, you can stitch standing up if desired. Or anywhere in between. Will work with hoops and Qsnaps as well.

Hi Danielle. Nice review. You should learn the pin stitch technic so you don't have to flip around the scrollframe in order to finish your thread. At least it works for me when stitching with my scroll rolls in my lowery. Regards from northern Spain.

Do you know of any device that facilitates stitching with one hand . I've had a stroke and cant use my left hand. Fortunately I'm right handed I'm also looking for something that allow you to crochet with one hand. Last question do they still make cross stitch on the linen material I really dislike the Aida cloth. It too stiff and difficult to hold. Thanks for all you do love your channel.

Just a word of advice - save yourself some money and don't purchase the chart holder/lamp magnifier. My chart holder came with a cheap spring that fell apart even before I tried to clip on the chart. I managed to fix it after much swearing and manual pain. Then I wrote to the company to complain. They were totally unsympathetic and told me I shouldn't have tried to fix it. It ended up springing apart and almost blinding me ever time I tried to use it. It was crap from the start and the lamp neck was not long enough to go over my work. It was also very hard to bend. Buy a clippable lamp/magnifier with wide jaws. I fitted mine on the section where there are holes for the original tools and this works much better. I'm also looking into finding a clippable phone holder to insert into the chart holder hole. Also, the jaws holding the scroll rod tend to loosen up and the whole scroll starts flopping down as I work. There's no perfect stand!

Hi Danielle! Thank you for showing this stand. I saw a lot of reviews that said they started to have problems with the plastic cracking after a few months.
