Hey guys, with the latest Open Beta update there have been some awesome updates to the Mirage F1CE That will definitely make flying this awesome little jet so much more enjoyable!
In this video we go over the new Radio functionality, Chaff, Flare and fuel counter reset special options, flap keybind changes and the VERY important implementation of the Aircraft Volume controls.

I exactly can't tell why, but the F1 got me since the first trailer. I never thought about that aircraft before. I really enjoy that module since it has been released.

4:10 "Unknown why the count always resets to 14" Actually, If you check the external view, the bucket actually has 14 flares loaded, with one of the flare slots being empty for whatever reason. So the 14 flare count is actually correct, since you only get 14 flares in your bucket. The real mystery is on why the ground crew always loads 14 flares when you're asking for 15. Especially since if you load 30 flares, then you get both buckets with 15 flares, but whenever you load 15 flares 30 chaff, you always get a flare bucket with one flare missing. On other hand, I like that the M1 is one of the few modules where the external module shows the type and amount of countermeasures you have loaded.

The guys who founded Aerges used to work as pilots and mechanics for the Spanish Airforce. They dedicated most of their careers to the Mirage F1 and now they are developing a true gem of a DCS module. This one is a keeper.

I absolutely love flying this airframe. It has been a blast doing air to ground work in it. Air to Air leaves a bit to be desired but as far as strikes it is a blast.

What features does it have in air to ground? does it have an accurate bombsight or is it all eyeballing like the F-5?

@@Parabueto It has a very crude targeting system, you have charts for the speed you need to fly; release altitude; and dive angle. Can be accurate if you fly the chart but definitely not precise.

@@Parabueto The air to ground capabilities are pretty good. One of the heavier bomb loads for a light fighter. But its bombing accuracy is dependent on the skill of the pilot and the ability to do math.

Thanks for the vid spud. I didn't know if i'd enjoy the mirage f1 or not, but its exactly the airframe for me. Really think they did a good Job. Its teaching me how to Fly better. Atm I either Fly the mirage f1, the mirage 2000c or the c101cc.

Looking forward to trying this out when I have some spare time to fire up the sim. Have you noticed much change in the flight characteristics? One of the changes is 'Adjusted engine thrust with AB on'.

I dont have any data to back it up, but I dont think it accelerates as fast now, but only slightly

I wonder what they did there, because basically all you needed before was just getting it into AB range to get past top speed and fry the engine. It basically was one level of after burner only with no way of throttling back without going back to MIL - while the AB range on the throttle covers like have of its movement range...

The updated engine performance is also huge. More Wet power in all flight regimes. Also they seem to have broken the engine IAS limits so you can now hit mach 1.8 at sea level without engine failure which is... interesting.

Actually, it's not just that the flare counter is set to 14. It's that you only have 14 flares even after requesting 15. So the counter is right. You can also see this in the flare dispenser cartridges in the external model.

Interesting! I guess I got that wrong? But I could have sworn I’ve counted released flares and gotten to 15

@@Spudknocker I tried post patch again, and you still only get 14 when you ask for 15, at least in the external model (there's always that one empty block|), I didn't count actual flares by firing them though.

0:09 Wait, there's a new update? 0:59 How trashy are your pedals? :D - I use linear curves and the F1 is probably the jet that needs most boot to steer on the ground by a very big margin even with the high gain on. This isn't anywhere even remotely near an F-16, F-5 or Viggen like at all. 1:42 I always start at low fuel level and fill the thing up as needed and I never had to crank the fuel gauge... but to be fair, I only ever watched the "Combustible" gauge (which is totally sufficient for internal fuel), not the rolling numbers thing on the right of that which always seemed to show some weird values around the 8k area... that's probably it :D 4:00 And it still shows 14. Thought they fixed that (read something like that on the forums with the usual "it's in the next update" note) - but then again the actual count _was_ 14 before that update. 5:05 I had it mapped to the things that would make them either step 1 up or down, but the naming of those binds were totally out of whack, like many. And I do hope they added a good bunch of toggle and 2/3-way binds. It was a little hell until now, because you needed to map two things for most of the actions...

You definitely can if you feel your performance is degraded, the other folder is the FXO folder!

I remember requesting some sort of changes to that or at least an external view slider decades ago. And I don't even have that "hear in helmet" thing on and my cockpit slider cranked all the way up - it still feels like some fricken ads start blasting off and you having to turn the volume down by at least 20db.
