If you want to Squat deep or in a resting squat, as performed by cultures across the globe, but find it painful. This may be from a lack/"weakness" in muscles that aren't often considered.
The Sagittal plane movements will be assisted by periphery muscles adding stability and balance to the body.
Since the body works synergistically, a weakness in the largest or smallest
contributor, will signal pain.
I show you, how to engage and mobilize these muscles, to incorporate their strength to the movement. Giving you much better mobility and Pain free.

I love your channel, I like the fact that you put your videos in 4k quality and that your watermark logo "Grown Healthy" is small that does not distract or screams "Mine, mine, mine" videos from your videos so we could enjoy them without being distracted. You are doing a amazing job in your channel and keep up the great work. 🌺

Thank you so much for this great video. Squat is an excelent exercise for the whole body. Though working out for many years, I still find it difficult to squat properly, manly the deep squat. I'll try both drills just now.

So doing a full depth squat with feet pointed straight will not damage knees?😬 Alot of people say you need to externally rotate your feet to prevent torsion force through the knees. @drjoelseedman says to do squats only to 90 degrees with feet straight.

Awesome video! Thank you. What do you think of sports like volleyball and basketball where you don't always land properly because you sacrifice yourself for a ball? Should i wear insoles that give me a few more millimeters in my barefootshoes? :/ I guess i have to learn how to properly land before i learn how to jump ^^ Also, you should look up this video: "NBA players have the nastiest feet" :( The world is fucked up, thank you for fixing parts of it
@GrownandHealthy
@GrownandHealthy Жыл бұрын
With practice (Depth jumps/Toe Hops), as you train your reactivity, through ballistic work. You will land instinctively how you train. There will always be an off chance that you land improperly (at risk), just don't make it a default pattern (via training).

Your lumbar movement is taking the pressure off of your glutes. Use a bench or stool to lay your lower stomach on, as you perform the kickback.

@@GrownandHealthy So I took your advice. My wife's mom has a bench On one side of the dinner table. I laid on it longways and tried it it seems to work. I wonder how long I will have to do it that way before I can do it natural or normal? And thank you again for getting back with me so fast and thank you for your advice

4:13 the rounding of the spine must be avoided?
@GrownandHealthy
@GrownandHealthy Жыл бұрын
No, rounding is natural at the bottom of a squat. when your butt is touching your calves. Butt wink can be problematic, but that has nothing to do with the bottom position. I will explain that in a future video.

It should be called a third world squat as it was traditional to then as a response to walking barefoot As they squat they grip the ground with their feet as with young children before their muscles athrophy
