Cool little right angle bit chucks. I've seen the DeWalt one but not the Milwaukee. I agree, as I wonder how they will hold up after much usage. I have an old DeWalt corded right angle drill but it's really bulky and needs a large area to work in. To be honest, I've only used it a couple of times, lol. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Dan!

I'm kinda surprised, I would have guessed the Milescraft Drive90PLUS would have been closer to the Milwaukee but it's definitely closer to the Dewalt. Both have both their helical gears help in by retaining rings too. All three with 1/4" shafts. The Milescraft seems to be the most solid but I think the Milwaukee follows behind it. Dewalt's definitely shines with screws compared to the others.

BMack37 I almost picked up the milescraft at Lowe’s but it was kinda big for what I do. Still looks good for construction. These bad boys can sneak into where any cordless ratchet can’t. Just noticing there is a pretty big break away torque reduction so far.. I have to break some bolts loose by hand first..

I bought an original Scosche Skew-driver when they came out (early 80's). As far as I know, they are the ones who invented these drivers. The first ones were hand tools and had fixed handles. We bought some for our shop and sawed the handles off since the shaft piece was 1/4" hex and chucked them into our drills. Later, Scosche released a "deluxe" version where the handle could be removed. I like to think I may have inspired that invention :) Well, my Skew-driver jammed a couple of weeks ago during a job. I guess I can't fault it since it lasted 38 years of nearly daily use. We had an angle tool in our shop in LA I wish I hadn't let go when we sold the store. We got it from an aircraft tools place and it was a right-angle attachment with two adjustable pivot joints, which means you could literally turn it 180-degrees. I guess this made it easier to drill your face, but it was cool.

@patrickshomerepair5074 7 ай бұрын
Hi @emplehod. The skew driver has a lifetime warranty so you can send it in and they will repair or replace it for you so you’ll have it working again or for a spare. I had bought the skew driver deluxe in the 90’s and used it many times I’ve the 28 years as a general contractor I have run into many repairs that it was indispensable but then had the same issues of it getting jammed so I called and talked to the company, then sent it in for repair. I received it and put it back into use untill it my van was stolen with all my years of accumulated tools so I had to purchase the dewalt which I like that has the ring magnet at the front. I hope you get your skewdriver fixed up so you can hang on to it and use it for many more years. Take care. Ciao.

ShaZam508 I’m leaning more towards the Dewalt. I just got that feeling if I push too hard on the Milwaukee, something may break. Been liking the Dewalt more because a 1” bit hides into the body more so the magnet ring acts as a holder. The magnet is nice and strong and doesn’t drop small screws!

Both of those right angle adapters are intended to be used with a bit driver so you’re not supposed to put the bit straight in without the driver..... That’s my understanding because it’s the same with the bare tool often the bit doesn’t fit without the driver which also acts as an extension

I use the old metal Milwaukee 90 I bought 5-10 years ago for 20$ and I have beat it to death drilling up to 1.5” screw tipped spade bits. It’s a bit loose and slightly floppy but it literally will not die. I’ve drilled it till I can barely hold onto it it’s so hot and it is well built. I’d rebuy the Milwaukee but it’s not a full metal case anymore. So I’m torn. I do like the super strong screw magnets on the desalt tho.

First ask yourself how often are you really going to use it, in my case I will use this probably once a year is not even that... so I bought Milwaukee because I'm a fan and I have a lot of tools by this company, I also have a lot of Dewalt bits and adapter. But I like Milwaukee so for that reason even with the fact I feel like Dewalt is better, stronger, I just decided to stick with Milwaukee to match my drill. They are very similar and it's for you to decide what brand you personally like if you have a lot of DeWalt tool just get the DeWalt if you have a lot of Milwaukee Tools (like in my case) get a Milwaukee just to match.
