Dextroscoliosis is a type of scoliosis. Scoliosis is a deformity of the spine that results in a sideways curve of the spinal column. If the spine curves to the right, the condition is known as dextroscoliosis. If the spine curves to the left, the condition is called levoscoliosis.
If you have Levoscoliosis you can still join, you just have to do the opposite side of this video.
And if you have an S curve, this is also great for you and reverse S curve, you just have to reverse the follow along video to the opposite side.

I discussed the different types of Scoliosis curve, the C- curve and S curve and how to stretch each curve depending on which side is your Scoliosis. If you don't know what type and shape and side your scoliosis is, make sure you see a doctor, chiro and a physical therapist to evaluate you as well you could also try the Slump test which could be seen online on how to see the hump on your back, The best way to know is to get an X-ray of your spine and to measure the angle of your scoliosis and it is called the Cobb's Angle. However, if your Scoliosis is more than 45 degrees angle with difficulty breathing and it causes problems with your functional tasks, i recommend to see a doctor and sometimes unfortunately surgery is one of the option. These exercises will helps strengthen, improve posture and improve the flexibility of your spine and both lower extremities and will be noticeable on your stance and functional tasks if done correctly daily for at least a month. will Do a follow along program soon with the progression from these 5 gentle exercises Beginner's program.

• Pilates And Yoga For S... stretching tight weakness or elongated weakness opposite of the curve. IF you are a C -curve to the right, then follow the instruction to stretch to the left and strengthen it in a lengthen position and slowly stretch out the tight areas.

Those holds are the best. I love feeling that stretch and being able to hold the position. The body may hate you in the moment but it will love you in the long run.

Annie, Nice Routine to help stretch and address the stiffness of dextroscoliosis. I'm 71 YO, and a sufferer of a number of spinal maladies (stenosis, DDD, Disc herniations, Military neck, and OA in the facet joints as well as Dextroscoliosis of 25 Degrees). I have a 1.15" shoerter right leg sustained from a fractured right femur at age 15 playing HS Football. I will Carefully try these exercises / Stretches with all the conditions in mind. It should be stressed here that not only is the spine Curved (S or C) but it is also Twisted !! That affects Nerves coming from the spinal canal - it does me... Diaphragm , Stomach, Lungs, Rib pain (Costochronditis)... The Central Nervous system and the peripheral Nervous system are affected as the Spine has compressed and pinching nerves. I lost all my Reflexes from the multiple sites of Stenosis. I never drank much Water ...... That is a big No-NO. Drink Lots of Water folks. 80% of your back discs are comprised of water - They do NOT regenerate !!
