I got the shot, for me it was just like getting a flue shot. Other people said their arm hurt but that’s it

Had 4 Pfizer shots to-date. The original 2 doses March/April 2021. Booster 1 November 2021 and booster two April 2022. I have been on Ocrevus for 3+ years. After the initial shot, day 2, I was really tired about 3PM in the afternoon. I do work from home (software person and company shuttered office March 2020), so I was able to go from my home office to couch and take a 4hr nap! I went from dinner to bed and slept through the night. Felt okay the next morning. I was medium tired around 5PM the next day, but not nearly as sleepy. Was fine after those two days. Shot 2, hardly any reaction. Booster 1 hardly noticed anything an Booster 2, zero reaction and arm was barely sore. I've been getting these shots between my Ocrevus infusions, as per neuro advice. So far, never had COVID-19, and no increase in MS symptoms. All COVID vaccinations have worked out well for me.

Yes, I have been fully vaccinated since mid June. I had the Pfizer vaccine for both doses. Mostly just a sore arm.

Hi Gorgeous Girl - Here in Australia at the moment Covid is a bit out of control ( Im from NSW) so it is very scary. I just had my 2nd dose last Fri of the Pfizer so I am fully vaccinated. The 1st dose was no problem but the day after the second was a different story. I woke up and got out of bed to walk and couldn't. I was tired, had no energy and felt S#!% all day. As the day went on though I got better and better. It only lasted 1 day for me Thankgod. We only have the choice of Pfizer and astrazeneca here at the moment. Wishing your vaccine is problem free. Sweet Lauren. I was really apprehensive to get it. My Neurologist was totally on board with the Moderna vaccine. After much prayer, I did get my 1st vaccine 4/27/21 with no complications 🙌🙏 my 2nd vaccine was May 29th . Again nothing more than a sore are. I an " technically " against the whole COVID situation, but I am glad I did the vaccine and had no side effects at all. I have boys, 35 and 22 that are not getting vaccinated and that's their choice. I do not feel uneasy being around my children or my grandchildren. Have FAITH. The way I think is if it's working, I'm good. If not a good vaccine, I am no worse for wear. Much love, Beautiful.

hey Lauren, about a year ago my doctor put me on 400mg dailey of hydroxychlorequine, i take dailey vit c and a multivitamin, i got my first moderna shot in march and didnt feel anything... second shot in april and felt bad for a day, woke up with chills and cold sweat, but i was perfectly fine after that, my body doesnt produce Iga antibodies and i work for a school system and take care of my elderly mother which also has a suppressed immune system so we're being extremely careful!

No I haven't. I'm on the fence about it. Since I'm on Ocrevus, the antibody B cells aren't really there much...but Ocrevus recommends 12 weeks after infusion, so I won't be eligible to get it until at least october...my next neuro appt is in November, so I'm going to wait & discuss it with him...

I have not and will not. My neurologist told me not to. I live on a mountain in the middle of nowhere and seldom are around people.

Moderna back in Feb/Mar. Looking forward to shot #3 in November. Other than sore arm (which they said meant the vaccine was doing what it's supposed to do) no other effects. Please get the shot and live your life, Sweet Lauren. -Joe

Hello Lauren .. Nice to see you are doing well . I'm on tysabri and I've had one pfizer shot so far and the second is scheduled to be three days from now. I did only feel a little bit of fever , which i treated with painkillers for two days.also there was some pain Around the injection site , but nothing unbearable. Yes, Moderna. Side effects were just soreness for one day and that's it. Side dose? I had nothing. When I got both doses I treated myself like I was "sick" and it made my soreness go away faster. Rested, had at of water.

I’ve had my first Pfizer shot. Had to wait a while after my Ocrevus infusion. Barely any side effects other than a sore arm. My doctor made it clear there is no additional risk from the vaccine for people with ms, other than the reduced effectiveness from immunosuppression. I am aware that I may not be effectively covered for COVID-19 but anything is better than nothing.

Hey Lauren! I got the pfizer vaccine back in May. The first shot I had no side effects, except a sore arm. The second one I was just super fatigued for about a day, then I was fine. I am on tysabri. Get it girl! Love ya, Robin😘

I got Moderna, the 2nd shot just made me tired. The 1st shot only had mild side effects like a flu shot.

I got moderna myself and the shots just made me kind of tired the next day but after about 24-48 hours after the second shot I was kind of back to normal the second shot was the one that made me the most.

Moderna, my arm hurt for a day, than I was fine. Don’t be scared. Please.

I got the Pfizer shots. I just had a sore arm and fatigue the next day. Not a big deal. I'm using a mask and social distancing. Actually my neurologist said that people with MS tend to have strong immune systems, that are just overactive in our CNS. That made me feel better. Hope you have a good experience, whatever your choice.

My neurologist told me that he lost eleven patients. Patients who did not want the vaccine. I received mine in April.

I got the J&J vaccine. Didn't want to keep getting poked. I figured I get poked enough already. I'm happy with my decision. God bless and stay safe.

Hi, in April I had the Flushot. My 2 Pfizer shots were done ~ in May, then 3 weeks later in June. In Australia we don't have JohnsonJohnson. Moderna will arrive in September. NovaVax? will arrive next year. Astrazenica (new name 'Vaxzevria') is available to everyone (I think). My next Ocrevus is in September 24th. Good luck with your decision, Cheers.

Hi Lauren. I received my moderna vaccination a month ago. The first went very smooth the second I was alittle sickl but got over that quickly. My neurologist also suggested the vaccination. Also, I wanted to let you know and inform others that are getting ocrevus I went a week ago for my infusion in Las Vegas they told me they are administering ocrevus more quickly then usual and since I usually tolerate well I said ok. Well long story short My throat closed I started itching and my blood pressure and pulse dropped so the nurse gave me 4 shots of Benadryl and 5 bags of saline later . I ended up being in infusion center for 9;hours. When I spoke to my neurologist today she said that adverse effect happened to a lot of other people too. Just a warning . Maybe this will work for someone else but not for me. I will stick to my normal infusion. I wish wellness and good thoughts for everyone.

I got my 2 shots of Pfizer, no problems. My daughter got covid, I didn’t and tested negative for 2 weeks. Still covid free. X

Squeaky & Peanut Butter got theirs! They both got the chills!!!!! At least they are on the safe side! Squeaky was shivering like crazy! He didn't like the needle. He's so furious...he will calm down.....EVENTUALLY!!!!! Peanut Butter got the tiny little chills! He lied down on his bed shivering a little bit. He's staying calm!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the "moderna" just a bit sore for a couple days were they put me the shot both times but that was it no big deal which actually surprised me a lot considering my immune system is long gone

I got the Pfizer vaccine. Got a bad fever the day after the second shot. It caused a pseudo exacerbation and I couldn't walk for about 8 hours. So my advice is to take some advil for a couple of days after you get a shot or booster to minimize fever.

Hi Lauren! got the Phizzer (both), no problem at all. I also went ahead and got the Shingles vaccine last year when all this stuff started happening. Don't be nervous! It's a baby shot. Anyone who doesn't get it is a wimp, IMO. A subcutaneous shot, I believe. Takes about a second. I tuned in to a webinar from the NMSS yesterday regarding this very subject. I only listened for a short while because I've already gotten it and didn't need any further convincing. Also, Ocrevus infusion #1 is done and in the books. God, was that BORING. I had mine middle of june then first part of july. I got Pfizer. I answered on the facebook page, but basically I had a sore arm for a couple of days, was super tired on the first shot and the second shot nothing. I've seen so many people on ocrevus who are fully vaccinated and have no covid antibodies, so I'm not ready to go out without my masks or eat or drink with the public. Maybe if we ever get less community spread.

My neurologist told me to get the shot as soon as I could, so I got Pfizer in April/May. He also says that if we are on any disease modifying therapy, we should get a booster now that they are available. I'll be seeking that out next week. My arm hurt a little after the first shot. After the second I was a little tired and had a small headache the next day, but had a nap and was fine. While breakthrough infections happen (as they do with any vaccine), your chances of getting it are much lower, and if you do get it your chances of having a severe case are drastically lower.
