1:10 Peanut allergies skyrocketed by 400 percent at the same time glyphosate was introduced into the environment
2:20 And now for the good news about peanut butter
In this video, I explain the good, the bad, and the ugly about peanut butter.
First, the peanut isn’t an actual tree nut. It’s a legume that grows in the soil. Its shell is thin and soft, and it easily absorbs chemicals from the soil. Peanuts are one of the most heavily sprayed crops there is; insecticides, herbicides, and pesticides. They’re not usually genetically modified organisms (GMO), which is good, but the peanut crop is usually rotated with a cotton crop that is GMO. So guess what? You’re getting glyphosate.
Peanut allergies skyrocketed by 400 percent at the same time glyphosate was introduced into the environment. I wonder if there’s a connection between the allergies and chemicals in the food.
There’s also something called aflatoxin, which is produced by a fungus that grows on peanuts. Aflatoxin causes liver cancer. As well, many brands of peanut butter are loaded with sugar, chemicals, and hydrogenated oils. Always read the label! Make sure it contains nothing but peanuts and perhaps some sea salt.
Now for the good news! There’s a brand of peanut butter called Valencia which has the lowest amount of aflatoxin. That’s good. When you buy organic peanut butter, you’re getting less chemical contamination. So with Valencia, you’re getting fewer chemicals such as glyphosate, and also less aflatoxin.
More good news: when you roast the nut or germinate it by soaking it overnight in water, you release the anti-nutrients that might irritate your digestive system and increase the availability of the peanut’s nutrients to your body.
There’s a substance called chlorophyll, the substance which makes plants green. Chlorophyll has a similar chemistry to our own blood. It has the capacity to lower aflatoxin. If you consume salad or wheat grass juice powder after you eat peanut butter, you’ll reduce the aflatoxin.
Peanuts are nutritionally comparable to actual nuts. They contain vitamin E, B vitamins, phytonutrients, and protein.
I know eating is sometimes complicated, but I want to educate you about our food supply. Peanut butter is a popular item, and it will benefit you to understand how it can be either healthy or unhealthy.

It should be. The 'organic' corn and soy in the fields around us are on their second spraying of roundup. I don't know how this is legal... I have asked some of the local farmers how much of it they eat and they all have looked at me like I am disabled. One even went so far as to tell me that the soy they get to feed the cows on his brother's dairy farm, isn't sprayed, isn't sprayed because it makes the cows sick and ruins the milk. Great, huh?

See if it matters, if not you just eliminated one crappy food for your family. Not everyone can afford to 💯 follow it all the time. I just take the knowledge and try to have my family eat more actual food and less crap. I think another big thing with this is to not worry about it so much, if your watching these videos you obviously care a lot about your family’s health and just remind yourself. You’re doing your best, so do your own body a favor. Close your eyes and take some deep breath’s. You got this

Get as close as you can and take the most impactful option. Example Read every label for the food option you are looking for and identify the ones with the least sugar, carbs and salt. This will at least make you more aware of what they are putting in the foods and allow you to make some choices within your economic range. You will likely eliminate a couple just with the knowledge and then with those savings identify if there is something you can afford. it will be hard but once you start doing this it will become easier and easier.

Being on meds allowed them to get even worse and sicker without feeling it. Without meds, they would've been forced to do as you do. Before you take away their meds, you'd actually have to begin to address the multiple roots of their ilnesses. Most do not wanna even bother. Again, that is artificial living. Technically the same could be said for all diabetics but I digress. Anyway, it works because ppl live longer but I would never consider it a healthy lifestyle.

Dr Eric - I hope you see this message as I want you to know that information you gave almost 2 yrs ago (as I left Oz for Argie) is still being watched and consumed. When you have gone to all the trouble of making a video you still say 'Thank You For Watching'..... We are thanking YOU for the effort taken... Soooo 'Thank You' ...

I think you’re right about the chemicals; I have an allergic reaction to apples but not all apples. The only apples I’ve been able to eat have been some form of organic because I can’t eat all organic apples either. 🤷‍♀️ I haven’t figured out why but I’m sure it has to do with a certain pesticide that I don’t know about yet.

In my younger years I used to eat peanuts and peanuts butter like crazy. Now in my 40's I am full of food allergies 😫. It's terrible. I wish I knew this before. Thanks a lot Doctor for explaining this.

MY THROAT WHEEZED FOR 20 yrs. I thought it was work related, it wasn't! It was peanut butter sandwiches. The peanut butter coated my throat. I haven't wheezed for 2yrs. I had to figure it out myself.

Videos like this one are enough to make one paranoid about everything we eat. Moderation and common sense is the key. Sooner or later we all wind up in the bone orchard no matter what we do.

"Sooner or later we all wind up in the bone orchard no matter what we do" True. But it's no reason to knowingly poison yourself. Suggesting "moderation" with the western mass produced diet is to assume that that diet is safe and healthy. It is not. It is saying small doses of poison is okay. IT IS NOT.

Yes, of course! People are NOT allergic to the peanut, they're having reactions to the chemicals in the food. The same way a lot of people are getting cancer, having mental illnesses and disorders, or having hormone imbalances.

I bring mine from my grand Dad's farms in Nigeria. They still left their lands to fallow for 6yrs in order to regain its natural compositions before returning to grow the peanuts and other crops like yams, mellows, maize and so on.. .but in the cities, the Chinese and American supermarkets are full of GMO foods.

Thank you Dr Berg. I am glad to have seen your video and although some is bad, ugly or good I am happy to have this information. I have never looked at the beginning I would say of a peanut and never imagened like this. I know after listening and watching your video that you took time to gives us an insight of pb that it is up to me any decision I make to eat or not any type of pb. I prefer to get peanuts if needed and make my own or maybe also get the organic one. Thank you for sharing and caring. I wish you have a wonderful life take care and be safe. 🙂
