So there is several types of amethyst blocks. One that has crystals, one that does not. The one with crystals can never be obtained, breaking it removes the ability to grow more crystals. Amethyst itself is so you can create a Spyglass using the shards and copper and also special glass that is called Tinted glass which is a glass that does not allow light to travel through them. Very useful in mob farms, for example those mob spawner cages you find sometimes. :) If you have the enchantment called Silk Touch you can actually obtain the different stages of amethyst growths and use them as decoration! :O

Observers work with Redstone, there are entire communities of people based around building Redstone contraptions. When you go back to the Nether, make your trails with your extra cobblestone and deepslate, Ghasts (flying heads with dangly things coming off them) can't blow it up. If you get lucky you'll find a strider (ugly gollum like thing that walks on 2 legs) that spawns with a saddle to ride around on (bring stick and string to make a warped fungus on a stick to be able to control where it walks)

It’s hard to find diamonds…. Best way I have found is to go down to exactly -58 and strip mine. Go in one straight line and then every 3 blocks turn to the right and left and mine as far as you can without moving. (That’s normally about 6 blocks unless you change your settings) Bring lots of torches, and iron pickaxes (and once you find them a diamond pickaxe) and just go 😊 You can also do a grid pattern, but I personally hate that because it gets confusing for me to find my way out haha. Once you get Fortune 3 enchantment on a pickaxe you will get a lot of diamonds when you find them (up to 3 per block). Love you videos!!

Don't mind the amethyst with xs on it and the crystals regrow, mine all the way around to maximize the growth

the amethyst blocks make those sounds when you walk on them too. use them as floor. amethyst shards are for a telescope which lets you zoom in and see far away places. the recipee is amethyst shards and copper.

You have come a long way already in learning some of the challenging parts of this game. If you're interested, I can offer some clarification to some questions that came up in this video. 1) Tipped arrows are different than enchantments. They are basically potion effects added to arrows. Enchantments are advancements that can be put on tools or armor- things like unbreaking, efficiency or protection. 2) Diamonds are found more commonly at lower levels, yes, but are still not very common in general. They are more likely to be found adjacent to the open air, so even though cave mining is more dangerous because you're also battling mobs, that method will give you the best chance of finding them. Look for them on the floors, ceiling or walls of a cave. 3) You found an amethist geode; The blocks are mainly decorative, I think, but the crystals can be used to craft stained glass and a spyglass (can zoom in your view to see things far away). Like any crop, the crystals can only be gathered once they've reached their full growing stage. 4) Observers are a Redstone component that create a signal when they detect a change in a block. 5) Honey bottles are gathered from behives, and are actually a food source, though not really sustainable. You're doing a great job Bree! Happy to be a fan from the beginning.

You can make telescope with amethes

Diamonds are not very hard to find, once you get a maxed out pickaxe, deepslate is a pain to mine. Full power beacon makes it even faster but you're not ready for the boss fight to get the materials yet. A villager trading hall is the most overpowered thing in the game, in Bedrock edition mix it with an iron farm.

Hi I really like your videos your commentary is very engaging and after watching your struggle today I wanted to give some advice to help. If you use TNT to mine you can blow up the diamonds so please be careful. TNT won’t break bedrock it’s the gray and black texture block that didn’t break when you tried to explode things in that area you mined out. Also strip mining when you get to the level you want might help instead of continuing to dig down cause you have only a very very low chance of finding diamonds just digging straight down or on a staircase.

Make a bucket and collect lava. Pour the lava in a contained area outside your house. Dump any items you don't need into it.

In the future try not to break the amathyst blocks with a cross on them as they're the only renewable source of amathyst.

I LOVE THIS SERIES BUT I ALWAYS GET SO FRUSTRATED WHEN YOU CRAFT SO MANY PICKAXES FOR NO REASON, OR TAKE EXCESSIVE FOOD AND DYING, sorry for shouting but like 4 pickaxes are more than enough and the food 20+ is good of a cooked food rather than taking to much and dying and then wasting all your efforts you know?

Whatever you do, don't break the budding amethyst block so more crystals will grow. Posting this at the beginning of the video btw lol.

you had bad luck to find diamond but don't give up go straight and use the iron you need because you take a long time with stone picks. I really like your videos. amethyst can be used as a ceiling or floor

Diamonds are pretty much everywhere near the bottom of the world, they are just very rare. Meaning there's no specific areas where there's no diamonds at all. They are there. But you need to be very patient.

don't forget to write down the cordinates of your portal when you go in the nether to find the way back to overworld.

Your mining is very inefficient. If you want to dig your own holes instead of exploring caves, you should do like this: when you get to the desired layer (like around -55 for diamonds), you dig a straight forward tunnel (the size is up to you) and then you start digging tunnels perpendicular to the first one, always leaving 2 blocks of distance between each tunnel. Tip: tunnels of with 3 blocks of height allow you to sprint and jump You can find diamonds more quickly if you abandon stone pickaxes and use only iron pickaxes. To do so you'll need a lot of iron and the best place to find it is on high mountains, where the iron is usually very exposed, you don't need to dig too much.

Mining diamonds requires you to be patient

don't break the amethyst blocks with crosses on it. amethyst grow on the side of them and you can farm more amethyst with it. those are not movable and they break.

Use a redstone torch to ignite tnt, not a fire torch.
