Pictures pictures and more pictures. Always add “see pictures for more detailed description“ in your listing

Couldn't agree more! I LOVED when eBay upped all the photos we can post. :)

The AI sounds like a sales pitch rather than a description. I'm sticking to writing my own detailed descriptions at the moment.

Yep! It's just a sales pitch right now, not what I want in descriptions. They do that on Amazon, eBay is a different land.

Can you not use AI in EBay?
@antiquebookcollective2 ай бұрын
@@payattention31 Yeah, it's just something you cam click to use when you make your listings.

I just copy-paste the condition notes into the description. Less chance they’ll get overlooked.

Always a good bet there! I sure wish eBay would showcase the condition notes better--after all, what's the point of them if they don't?
@Van_Der_Lay_Industries2 ай бұрын
I do the same. I post them at the top, after the name and publishing details of the book.

Seems to me that eBay is hiding/ making it difficult to find the description text of an item when scrolling with your cellphone. Or maybe, just me,,LOL. Desk top/laptop shows more listing data. Have your own description text for your vintage, antique or used item as you can see, feel and smell the condition as it is. AI has its place but not with used items. IMO, eBay may have been planning on having the AI feature as an added "fee" if it becomes popular.

Yeah, eBay listings on mobile devices are poop. Lol I agree about it not being good for used items and I could totally see FEEBay (thanks Used Book Guy for that term) charging for the AI too.
