As someone who does sometimes use a wheelchair, I want to say that I CAN walk. Wheelchairs are just for when I'm super weak, or in too much pain. A lot of us can walk, we aren't fully wheelchair bound all the time. Levels of disabilities vary. That being said, these pranks suck and are bad. I agree. My brother used to do this to me when I was 4/5 and he was 5/6. I don't blame him since he was so young. And even though I realized after the first or second time that it was fake, (there's only so many times you can ask "who are you? What's talking? What's red?" Before someone catches on.) I developed this fear of getting amnesia. Even years later it stick around. (Talking 13-14ish) I would constantly remind myself of my name, age, where I live, who's around me, what's going on. Then I would repeat it less than 5 minutes later. (This was really strong between the ages of 9-14) And if I hit my head it was a constant loop of the same thing over and over for like five minutes. Now, I don't think my brother's to blame really. I sometimes have this thing where I and/or the world doesn't feel real. I haven't been able to be diagnosed with anything yet. So, I suspect that came into play with my obsession with it. But I have to wonder if I would've still had those thoughts if my brother didn't prank me with that.

There was a wave of s*icide pranks here in Brazil a few years ago. I’ll tell some, so TW for s*icide themes. They were all horrific, they filmed their loved ones weeping with their limp bodies in their arms just for clout. I remember one girl started a fight with her boyfriend on purpose and then pretended to off herself. I’ll never forget his cries in the hidden camera video, him hugging her tight and apologizing, it was the most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever seen and she had the audacity to laugh at his face when she broke it off. One dude was gonna prank his girlfriend and he made up a really brutal scene with a lot of blood. But when she found his “body”, she didn’t panic, she kept calm and just started calling emergency. And he didn’t like that, he wanted drama, so he broke it off immediately and the rest of the video is just them arguing and him making excuses for himself.

I highly suggest checking her out as her content and partnership with the families of victims makes a real difference. Its a contact precaution gown you wear over your clothes when you are going into a room with someone who is under contact precaution for stuff like MRSA or C-DIF. It's literally made to be torn off so you can rip it off while you still have gloves on and never have to touch your actual clothes to your gloves or any contaminated surfaces. Actual hospital gowns are not expensive. I don't know why they didn't just buy one.

hey drew/everyone! As a disabled individual, I felt the need to point out that most disabled people who utilize wheelchairs are ambulatory wheelchair users -- meaning these individuals have physical use of their legs, but use wheelchairs during things like pain flares, dizzy spells, general fatigue, syncope episodes, etc. Wheelchairs are incredibly freeing mobility aids. So many people who benefit from & use wheelchairs can do exactly as this girl did: do jumping jacks or whatever and get right back in it. It doesn't mean they're "faking" anything. With chronic illness and chronic pain, there are good days and bad days; there are some days you can run miles, and some days you get so nauseous or dizzy or full of pain you can't get out of bad. There are fluctuating levels of ability. You can some things one day you can't do the next. Wheelchairs aid in mobility and independence it's a huge misconception from able-bodied people who think that those who use wheelchairs are paralyzed from the waist down and cannot use their legs period. i know it wasn't drew's intention to perpetuate this stereotype, and it was incredibly insensitive and demeaning of that girl's family to use mobility aids and disability like this in such a flagrant way. just wanted to send a little message from the disabled community! thank you :)

I can walk just fine, my legs work, but I have orthostatic intolerance and debilitating chronic fatigue and I need to use a wheelchair for longer outings with a lot of walking or I get really sick. I help my mom get the chair in and out of the car when I can. You can never assume you know whether or not somebody needs the chair they're using based on if they can stand and walk or not. Anyways. My grandma also died of Alzheimer’s, it happened like 6 years ago but she forgot everyone in my family and before she died she said she hated all of us and that she just wanted to go home to her children, to my mom and my aunt. Such a horrible disease and I’m sorry that you went through it as well and seemingly had a worse experience than me. These videos make me so angry as well because they’ll never understand what it’s really like

Did the person holding that small pug just say "your parents are probably going to get divorced" while shaking that dog around like a puppet? Sounds about right for a kids video on KZfaq

You know as a disabled person it’s really frustrating when these people go to a medical supply store and can just buy a nice wheelchair or mobility scooter when insurance like mine will refuse to do so so I have to buy a crappy cheap one from Walmart or Walgreens.
