Hi friends, today I will share a simple and easy chicken and eggs dish for luch or dinner. This is very easy Japanese food you can make at home-
What you need:
A.boiled eggs- poke the rounder bottom of the egg and boil for 8 minutes
2 pieces of chicken leg meat -cut into bite sizes
1 & 1/2 spring onion cut diagonally
B. 3 tablespoons of sake
3 tablespoons of brown sugar
50 ml of soy sauce (* You can add 1 tbsp more if you wish)
1 sachet of dashi
1-2 tbsp of sesame oil
First step- sautee the chicken meat until half cooked
follow the negi or spring onion
then add the sake,sugar, soy sauce and dashi
simmer for about 10 minutes in low heat
and then put the boiled eggs slightly mixing making sure not to ruin the eggs'shape.
Again, in low heat simmer for 8 minutes more
TIPS for this dish: after turning off the heat- leave for an hour before serving as you want the eggs to absorb the 'umami' (tasty flavor), you can put this in a sealed container and refrigerate- it is good for days. ** it can stay for 3 days if you use white sugar.
