I saw your video at my home page and i think you'll become success full in youtube but there's some thing you need to change like when you're lifting weights the background music and i think if u can more energetic while talking its a 10/10 but other than that whole video is awesome hope you'll get big on youtube soon

Hello Nick! I love your videos and that's why I have a question for you. Given that you ingest almost twice as many calories as you expend in your training, doesn't this mean a very substantial increase in your fat weight? It is true that it will help you in your muscle building process, but later it will make you gain weight. Doesn't this stop you in your competition?

It depends on the training block that I’m in. My fuelling needs change and so does my burn. I need to make sure I have enough energy to maintain the training load and then when I have rest days and rest weeks my intake will reduce. I can make a video in the future about what that intake looks like as well.

@@nick_wammes Yeah! A video where you could explain this would be great. I'm surprised that you have so much kCal intake because in my case if I do that I gain a lot of weight and then it's hard for me to lose weight.

tbh the number nick gave from his Whoop seems very low to me for a day with two training blocks. Nick is 195cm and quite muscular so I'd expect him to be around 95-100kg, so I would put his daily calorie burn even without excercise at close to 3000kcal already. I myself am 186cm at 76kg and daily burn around 2000. So with 2 heavy training blocks I would expect his daily total be much closer to 5000kcal than 3000kcal and then the calorie surplus does not look as crazy anymore. Also everybody is different, just fuel properly and check the scale regularly to see if things are going in the right direction and adjust accordingly, but building strength and muscle needs a decent surplus of calories. I'd also much rather look at body fat percentage than pure weight, especially if you want to build muscle.
