In this cake decorating tutorial, I show you how to make this pleated/draped fondant cake. I also added some bas releif just to add some more interesting. I hope you enjoy this and maybe decide to give it a try!

Just stumbled on your channel Amazing work, beatifull designs. Could I ask you, how do store your fondant, and when you say, that you sometimes leave the fondant out, does it crack when you start working with it. Sorry for the long question. I love making and decorating cakes. I am no pro, I just bake for family birthdays etc. Lynn

Hi! I store it in saran wrap and then in a zip lock bag either at room temp in cooler months or the fridge in warmer months. It really does have a fairly long shelf life. If you store in the fridge, just make sure there are no onions, garlic or anything else that could contaminate the taste in there. I have a dedicated cake fridge.

Sure! It is a self healing quilting mat that I found on Amazon. You can also find them at craft stores that sell fabric.

Hi, again. I have rolling and sterching some fondant. I am trying to make a golfer figurine, but when I am inserting the long cocktail sticks up thro the legs and to come out of the body the fondant is cracking. Grrrrrr

It can be frustrating:( You might just need to insert them a little sooner? While it is still pliable
