Hello. This duet was supposed to be for a male alto and a male soprano originally in 18th century. My guess is that Floor was playing the part of an alto. And they actually made a metal version of the second part of Stabat Mater. This was the first part "Stabat Mater Dolorosa" - a duet. My two favorite female singers performing together. I have this concert on DVD. It is excellent and I highly recommend Epica-Retrospective. As far as your comment about smoking, what was once vices are now prescriptions. As a cancer survivor, I would never have made it through without medical marijuana. First off it was good for nausea and lack of appetite. It also takes the place of painkillers, muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety and anti-depressents. That's five pills I'm off, along with the side effects that go with those pills. It's not a cure, it's a supplement. It's also not for everyone, but for me, it was a godsend. Luckily I live in CA.

Good morning guys! What a beautiful song to start my day even if it does bring a little tear to my eye. As has been mentioned, this is from a very old Christian hymn which was scored in the 12th century. It’s the story of Mary standing next to the body of her son Jesus. Every famous soprano has sung this song. What’s amazing (except to Symphonic Metal fans) is that this would be performed in the middle of a Metal concert. It’s a tribute not only to the talent of Simone and Floor but also the roots of Symphonic Metal. Oh, Kel not everything needs to be plugged in! Lol!
