The ESU Loksound 5 is the successor to the hugely popular ESU Loksound 4/Loksound Select decoder.s It features bigger sound memory, better audio hardware, better motor controls and more intensive and complex user customization never seen before in DCC sound decoders. This decoder is not yet publicly available at retail but it is already installed on several DCC sound locomotives including all Scaletrains.com locomotives starting from January 2019.
I will be making a longer video explaining all the features of the Loksound 5 and comparing it to the Loksound 4. Let me know if you also want to see a video review of the Scaletrains locomotive itself.

One of the best features of ESU's V5 decoder is the full throttle feature it really adds realism to the model!

Nice locomotive but the horn is questionable

Anthony Williams the horn can be easily changed. In fact, they usually have 10+ options available
