Evanston Illinois has always been a serene, charming small town to me. That impression was reinforced after my walk in this beautiful afternoon of late April. Also, Evanston felt more artistic to me during this walk. Or my personal artistic side was more awakened now?
Against the background of serenity was the amazing light and shadow and the colorfulness of the city. Most trees should have turned green, but some still had bare branches, and others were in bloom. Other plants were also blossoming here and there.
The residential buildings along Church Street, Sheridan Road and Forest PL exhibited diverse aesthetics. I believe many of them are around 100 years old. Downtown Evanston was as serenely dynamic as always. The new building, Evanston Labs, appeared intermittently towards the end of my walk.
