We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own debt free, off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.

I've often said that I love to watch masters at work. I don't care if you're a doctor, welder, lawyer, cook at Waffle House, etc. I just like to see people that are good at their profession do what they do best. That being said, I thoroughly enjoy when Josh does electrical work. Like seeing him back in the electrician role. Good times.

If this family doesn't depict what the USA is all about I don't know what does. I see that Erin is training a new "concrete guy"...so cute! I know from my own experience that there will often be flat spots in the wheel of progress, but you folks have shown that you always deal with them with a positive attitude which is not only admirable but is a real life lesson modeled for your children. JOSH, not being a carpenter myself..it just seems after all your builds are finished, I think you need to do a consulting business & a website & podcast on how to do a build 😉 like the basics of a build. Write a book also. Your the best!! Erin should do a book or podcast on the basics of editing & how to perfect it & shortcuts. Your becoming the best Videographer

Mt life is super hectic right now. Some things didn't go as I planned..im in a new country trying to go to university at 31 and I had a huge setback with getting a loan.. but you guys give me some hope. Things go wrong and we keep going forward. We cry a little, and then we figure it out.

I’ve had to really buck up and persevere this spring and summer. The weather can be your best friend or your worst enemy, and it’s been a very frustrating few months at my off grid cabin. But just like me, you’ll pull through and come out on top. Faith and prayer…works every time 🙏🙂

I was a Union Plumber for 30 years and I worked around many Electricians ...... The quality of work that Josh does is second to none , he is a very knowledgeable electrician . All remodel is trouble .

I think the color of the gray/blue is pretty. It will stand out amongst the trees! Just sprinkle that color inside like kitchen backsplash or shower surround. Make it work.

It brings joyous tears to my eyes to see how Carter, Kayden and Ellie are growing up so fast. The boys are maturing and becoming exactly like Josh and I remember Ellie being carried by Erin her mommy all the time but now she is such a reflection of Erin. Her announcing before the camera and trowling cement is so precious. Then Kayden now starting and driving the vehicle. Just tells me how great parents you are! Glad I found your channel. BTW the house that you are remodeling doesn't have issues it has a whole subscription! LOL! But Josh you will "Get Er Done" with the Help of Erin your fearless and fighting wife, of course when it comes to rats nests!!! You make me laugh as well as cry!!! You guys are wonderful.

Been there on construction woes, especially on electricity. But you're making forward progress which is the main goal. Enjoyed your fireworks show. My kids are in their 40s and still do fireworks big time.

Another great WWOG episode! I love your commitment to quality. I grew up in a family where we had family projects. As a result I have always been self sufficient, able to do or handle whatever life threw me. I can see Carter, Hayden, and Ellie doing the same. I love that the videos show the contributions your children are making to the family business and building(s). As one commenter said, sharing your challenges and successes is truly better than Little House on the Prairie and I loved that show! Saying that does not diminish LHotP. It just shows that you are way above what has stood for years as an apex of great family entertainment. Great ending with the fireworks!
