Yep I was thinking just thst when the glass table broke. OP would've been in jail had the roles been reversed. Neither sets of parents would've allowed OP to see his kids. No. No. PPD is a real mental illness that has a heavy, heavy effect on the mother and still does not get enough recognition or support. As opposed to 'boys will be boys' that gets pulled out as an excuse to harass and rape women (or the actual version which is ride a shopping cart down a hill). That said, my mum, who had PPD did not do half the shit this woman did. This woman, like many men and women, is just an arsehole that had a legitimate mental illness. They could've refused, but then again... they were using that as a chance for Angela to show up covertly and spend time with the girls. Angela is scum. The only reason she is reaching out is because her boyfriend dumped her. OP's parents do not have an equal right to decide what is right for OP's children. That is for OP to decide and OP alone. To hear them try to guilt trip OP into taking her back and to manipulate OP that way is absolutely disgusting. That they scared your daughters the way they did if they told you shows how absolutely unhinged and insane both your parents and your ex are. There's a very real possibility that the stuff she said about Shaun isn't true and that she (and maybe even OP's parents) made it up to try to get sympathy for their situation.

I hope OP sends a letter through a lawyer to his deranged parents and ex detailing the statistics of single father households vs 2 parent households vs single mother households. The first 2 are pretty on Parr with eachother with the latter being a complete $hit show. OP statistically doesn't need a woman to help raise his daughters.

It's ok to feel sorry for the people who hurt you. It's *not* ok to reconcile right away, especially if you still don't trust them. You'll know that the person who hurt you has truly changed when they either only try to reach out to apologize and then leave you be, *or* when you don't want to hear them and they respect your boundaries.

This really is just heartbreaking all around....Having not just your wife cheat on you but her AND your parents manipulate you behind your back makes you feel like you're all alone in the world....That no one had your back. Sorry to hear this happened to you! My husband was cheated on by the woman he was with before me. He kicked her out and filed for divorce and she stalked us for several years after, acting like it was our fault. When in reality I didn't even meet him until about 6 months after he filed for divorce. So Much I could share about that crazy b**** but we'd be here for hours lol. But know that you did the right thing looking out for your daughters and I commend you for seeking out family counseling. Beautiful to see a dad looking out for his family. If she ever cared that much, she wouldn't have seriously planned on leaving her family to begin with... some people are just ridiculous! Best wishes to you and your family!

The only way karma could have hit her harder would be if shaun was cheating on her like she did op. I have a feeling she might do time in prison for this, she had no rights to the kids and has a history of violence. The grandparents might even get something like criminal conspiracy, child endangerment and emotional abuse if not psychological abuse and that is without the threats to the children.
