Hi Lance. I’ve seen both plugs- exactly as yours is and the ‘white metal’ you describe which to me looked hammered/ squashed into the same hole. The heads I’ve seen always had valve caps so interesting some didn’t.

Yes I have not had one without the valve rotors on the exhaust before.

Hi Lance, have you ever seen wear on the push rod shafts where they rub against the head where it mates to the block? Seems like the head and block holes are not aligned for some reason

Hello Lance, Where the diesel engine and petrol engine ever interchangeable on the Ferguson. I know the diesel has the starter button at your heel but often wondered did anyone ever do that. Another great video, thanks for sharing.

I think they would be, Ferguson tractors often have the bell housing with a couple of starter motor bumps especially in the 35 and 135 ranges.

I dont know what parts I will need for the 3 I have to restore yet so Ill look there first.

Hi Lance, what purpose did the white metal plug serve?

Probably it just plugged the hole. They need some holes to get the casting sand out when the heads are manufactured.

Hi Lance, another nice video ..... I don't love this cordless screwdriver. You hit too hard. I don't have enough feeling about it.

Yes I know what you mean, I dont do things up with it but it is handy for dismantling things quickly.
