I did feel Y'Shtola was way to "adult" for being only 23. 32 makes much more sense.

A fun fact tied to the early life of Y'shtola's. It's heavily hinted by the trust dialogue within Matoya's Relict that the Drippy water familiar was in fact either created by Y'shtola herself ( with Matoya's help ) or created by Matoya to teach her young pupil as well as provide her with a playmate. It gets lonely in a cave afterall.

I knew Y'shtola was older than her late teens or 20's than you for addressing this. Love your vids. Always gets me pumped to play more ff14 and feel like I'm part of a world that exists outside of myself as the WoL. Keep up the great work!

ya know, i really love how t'shtola is in her 30s. feels like we really don't have enough prominent characters in any franchise that are women and in their 30s and her age not being the center of some sort of running joke. it's also nice to have a 30s character to kinda relate to as i get into my 30s, it makes it feel less....old.

huh I actually didn't know that much about my favorite Scion. I was also under the assumption she was 23, but it doesn't off put me since she does as an air of maturity and being the Mom of the group. I really want the drawings of kid Y'shtola as they are adorable.

As a sprout thats going into endwalker, best character of the scions for me and tbh its not even because shes a cat girl (bunny supremacy) but her personality and dialogue choices really stick out as being the most enjoyable of all the scion interactions. On multiple occasions i was given the opportunity for some gold dailogue choices and on those occasions i took them and im so glad i did. With great moments like saying "Yes mother..." after been given a task to which her response was "That's right, now get to it before i take you over my knee." or "As long as youre not gunna make me do any more chores." to which her response was "Keep that up and ill have to send you to bed without supper!" Truly, she is the greatest of the scions.

Y'shtola herself definitely played a role in me making my character, brain literally went "Yeah she looks to be the older sister type." and went with it since. Also at 1:12 when I first saw Y'thub I couldn't help but to do the Liquid Snake "BROTHER!" and hugged him, for the fact I haven't seen a single male Y clan member and really was hoping to see some in EW, but oh well.

Bearing in mind I’m only lvl 65 Smn/Sch and Whm Hyur just about to venture beyond Baelsar’s Wall and start Stormblood but I’m kinda mixed in feeling about Y’shtola. I haven’t forgotten the way she abandoned the WoL to a bunch of stupid petty tasks for the so-called “Company of Heroes” before the fight against Titan. She didn’t even try to half the amount of tasks, nor tell us that she’d figured out it was a test of the WoL’s character and even took part of their mocking him/her at the end. Nor have I forgotten that she’s known about Yda’s little secret, along with the other “core” Scions and despite all the WoL has done for them, none of them even considered trusting the WoL enough to encourage Yda to be honest with us. In truth I’m not particularly fond of any of the Scions present when the WoL started working for them. I’ve always felt more of an independent contractor working for them than an actual member. But while I had issues with Thancred justice hiding out in Dravania instead of trying to find us, and Yda and Papalymo basically abandoning the WoL and Scions both by spending far too long with the Rebels I can’t actually fault Y’shtola during the actual getting to Titan and during Heavensward. *Minor Heavensward spoiler.* Given we actually had to track down her aether and then had to enlist the help of both her sister and the elementals to rescue her from the livestream I have no reason to blame her. And then indeed she worked rather well during Heavensward and whilst working with Krile on that magic cucoon spell. Despite the rough start yeah Y’shtola is one of the characters I actually respect and feel mild fondness for. Alphinaud has grown on me and I’m fine with Estinien but I do rather feel the only actual friend that saw the WoL as a friend instead of a weapon… well. If you’ve cleared the Vault you know who I mean and if you haven’t then it’s best I don’t spoil you.

Since I viewed my character as an adventurer around the age of 24, it made since as to why I saw her as a big sister.

You missed one thing about Y'shtola, if she gets mad, may the Twelve have mercy on whoever her rage is pointed. 😂

I love y’shtola and I love how consistent her character has stayed over the years. it never felt like she needed a character arc like the other scions, and I’m really glad they didn’t force one. but she’s also never felt like a mary sue to me, just overall awesome. the only arc I’m hoping for her is one where she finds her way back to the first and lets herself be happy with her malewife runar (I ship them so hard).

So I only just started playing final fantasy xiv due to it's recent release on Xbox as an open beta. Last night I fought titan, So I'm only level 41. Nevertheless, her sass with the company of heros for making me run around while titan was gaining power was awesome. Tl;Dr Y'shtola is best girl.

I thought she was 24 since that’s what I read on the wiki but her being in her early 30s explains both her maturity and why her sister was concerned about her not finding a partner.

Seems like her magics inclusing some (at least) dabbles in summoning, a firm grasp of conjuration and expertise at black magic.

Maybe her frequent ventures into the aetheric sea made her younger than what she's supposed to be.

Well i thought she was even older like 38 or something because true the story she seemed to have experienced much more then the other scions. But talking about age i would live to see a video one day about how old the different races/characters get. Cause something one of the Viis said to Urianger intrigued me. That they lived two lifetimes of an Elezen one. But not really knowing an Elezen lifetime it's kind of hard to know what that exactly is
