Yussss.... Plainsong. Disintegration album was my second favourite with Wish being the first and Pornography following. I do love the video for Lullabye and who doesn't love Fascination Street. But Closedown and Prayers For Rain (after the obvious Pictures of You are my faves off the album. Javon is such a beautiful doll to truly enjoy The Cure's music.

@platanoverde9469 3 жыл бұрын
@@davidcowan4942 thats right👍 because in the USA this album is '79 releases with the album title "Boy's don't cry". It's strange because in Europe the same album comes out at the same time with title "Three imaginary boys" without the song "Boys don't cry". The single comes out as standalone at the b-side of the vinyl "Pillbox Tales" in the year '86 🤷. Strange but the single was listet only in this year in the charts of Germany and the UK. Very interesting the story of this song. At the end it's very possible that is created '79 . But listed in the charts '86...strange. but a very good song 😎👍

I didn’t expect this sort of reaction from you to this song, but, I’m stoked you really liked it. And you’re right when you said you could just picture people going out and dancing to this when it was out. Well, I was in college in the early 80s and The Cure was a huge band on campuses and my whole circle of friends were really into The Cure (and The Smiths, Siouxsie and the Banshees, New Order, OMD, Ultravox, Simple Minds, Human League, Depeche Mode, ABC, Psychedelic Furs, etc.) and we did have the best time dancing and getting into such a variety of British New Wave which was taking over US radio and MTV. The Cure had a of breakthrough with their album “Head On The Door” which includes two of their big hits from that period which would be great for you to react to based upon your reaction to this song. The tracks are “In Between Days” and “Close To Me”.. Hope to see it on your channel soon

I got into the Cure in the late 80's so I was a little late to the party but have so many great memories of going to 80's clubs with my friends during the 90's and dancing to them and Depeche Mode. One of my favorite memories of my late friend is that we were driving around and she wanted me to hear The Caterpillar but this was when you actually needed a CD (or god forbid at ape) and I didn't have it and her house was way too far so our mission that night was to find somewhere where I could hear the song and so we drove through the night and would randomly show up to her friends' houses to ask if they had the Starring at the Sea album until we met the ultimate Cure fan who said "I don't have compilation albums!" and Pulled out The Top album. RIP CC.

Jay, my man, you are making my day with your reactions to my all-time favorite band. Keep it going buddy. Any songs from their masterpiece Disintegration album are gold. I especially enjoy Fascination Street and Disintegration (the song). The Cure has gone through many transformations over the years, from their dark sound in the beginning, then transitioning into more mainstream music in the 80's and 90's then switching it up again in the 2000's. They haven't released an album since 2008 I believe but we are waiting for at least two more albums that will be dark again hopefully coming out this year. The Cure will not disappoint you. Keep reacting to them and you'll thank all of us Cure fans. Until next time, peace brotha!

Some early Cure. Excellent. You should check out something from "Pornography" - considered by many to be their greatest album. I suggest Tracks like "A strange Day", "A hundred years" or The Figurehead". These songs are The Cure at their darkly beautiful best. Robert Smith also played with Siouxie & the Banshees for a while. Robert learnt how to be a front man from Siouxie (and his hair and make up was influenced by her). Try listening to Banshees tracks like "Spell-bound". "Arabia Nights" or "Rhapsody".

One of their best! So glad you chose this one! “Misjudged your limit. Pushed you too far. Took you for granted, thought that you needed me more.” In Between Days, Let’s Go To Bed, 10:15 Saturday Night, Killing an Arab all great songs!

One of the best bands to grow out of punk and delve into pop music, in my VERY biased opinion. lol One of my favorite bands. Period.

Thank you for listening to new wave songs that aren't on "80s Greatest Hits" compilations. This is an early early Cure song. And you did a reaction to "One step beyond" by Madness, also an early song by that band and not one usually heard on 80s compilations. If you like the Cure, you should try a few songs from Echo and the Bunnymen like "Lips like sugar" or "The Killing Moon".

I think he hurt her, she didn't hurt him. He thought she needed him more, but realizes she's moved on.

Yes it’s about him not appreciating her. “I would say I’m sorry if I thought that it would change your mind But I know that this time I have said too much, been too unkind.” “Took you for granted, thought that you needed me more, more, more. Now I would do most anything to get you back by my side, But I just keep on laughing, hiding the tears in my eyes...” My favorite 80’s new wave band😀
