My SD card reader was working yesterday, the computer automatically updated and now it’s not working at all. It’s not showing in the disk drives but is showing in the Universal Serial Bus controllers.. can you help?

@@beboyzfamz apperantly I spoke with my IT boss at work snd he said when thay Happens the SD card very much is dead, and there is no fix unless you really are willing to spend money for the company to try an fix...so i hope you can get a refund of your broke recently

@@ritof-rice TOTALLY WRONG, my mémory card is just doing véry wéll with my caméra (Canon EOS R). I used to connéct it wirelessly with EOS Utility app (PC, Phone and caméra itsélf). but to transfer in hundreds of photos, I need a faster way which is still using the old méthode (diréctly transfer to PC with card reader). . FYI, this tutorial is the same tutorials available on the youtube, and all of them are not worked, misinformation and giving just false information to the people. . something wrong is going in Windows OS itsélf, b'cause this happen to most all users.

Sometimes the card reader detects the card, but at most times it doesn't. When it doesn't, I need to disable and then re-enable the reader and everything is OK. Why does the reader need to be re-enabled every time the card is inserted?

@@anyrecover5388 Mine makes that connecting sound but doesn't show in both file explorer and disk management. It makes the disconnecting sound after 10 secs, all by itself.

So far nothing I’ve tried is working, everything else recognizes the sd car but the computer doesn’t show it anywhere an any of these settings or anywhere else that I’ve seen it in other videos. It’s like the computer doesn’t recognize it at all but a little load circle does show up by the arrow when I plug it in but that’s it.

this is happen with most of Windows user, the mémory card is just doing véry wéll but not in PC. . obviously this is the Windows' problem.

None of this worked for me either. All my cards are good and this reader was working until I upgraded to Windows 10 last week. The drive doesn't show up in Device Manager or in Disk Management. No way to reassign drive letter or upgrade driver. Damn Windows 10.

SD card works on camera (Mirco SD with a adapter ) , doesn’t register on any PC or laptop , doesn’t work with other adapter, updated drivers , reinstalled drivers ,SD doesn’t show on disk management or device manger…..

after 2:44 i want tell my story.while using phone all photos gone.so i try check,and i see no SD card.tryed another phone.card just not work.bought card reader tryed few programs,card not comes .tred on pc card reader,nope no card.no physical dmg.verbatim micro SD.16gb.just wont work.she is old.but used last few months....i have another one 16gb.probably old more than that where dead.what to do?there some important photos.....why i used that card?-phone dyed.so used card on new phone,new story now card die....disapointed about phones,sony dyed,then poco...now card dead.not played games...just google sometimes.so verry verry weird when card die without any sighns of it

Hey, you can try the following guide: 1. Right-click on Start button on your PC and search Disk management from menu list. 2. Search for SD Card and right-click on it to select Change Drive Letter and Paths from the context menu. 3. Click on the Change button from the menu, choose a drive letter from the list and click on OK . If the SD Card doesn't have a drive letter, click on Add button.

SD card does not show up on "Disk Management". It does appear on "File Explorer", "This PC", "Devices and Drives". When I remove the SD card, all other information appears as normal on "Disk Management". This is frustrating and not sure how to proceed. Not concerned about data but just need to find out the issue.

Everyone has the same video with the same fixes that dont work. This piece of garbage windows 11 dosnt even show my usb sd card reader in disk management. Its a multi card reader and only sd cards will not work. On 2 different readers, 2 different cards, on 2 different ports. I cant find a new or different driver on Microsofts site. It is frustrating like i cant even tell you.

No dude. It still functions in all my devices. And if I put it in my camera and then like the camera to my PC it will work. It has to be a driver/software issue.
