Fixing the Anchor On a Sailboat (Episode 25)

Жыл бұрынHello everyone! My name is Vasil and I am restoring my 1974 Columbia 45. In this episode I am repairing the anchor mechanisms. It is very important to have a working anchor before I attempt to move this boat under engine power. If anything happens while on the water, the anchor will be the brakes, making sure the boat does not crash into anything.

Windlass is the name of that winch and motor. Motorized windlass. Those are such awesome devices to have on a boat. Ouch, that is a 3 dollar switch. You must be paying or the convenience of a plate that says windlass. I feel for you!

Agreed all around! I'm just now starting to realize how much of a plus it is to have a motorized anchor and a remote to operate it. Seriously, that switch?! I threw up in my mouth a little when I saw the price! Not that things don't cost money, but you're absolutely right, that is a $3 switch ALL day! You know it, stickers and fancy writing adds money and horsepower. Lol.
